The World of Rhabdoviruses
In this volume the unique and common features of rhabdoviruses, particularly their morphological, molecular, and pathogenic characteristics, and their phylogenetic relationships are reviewed. Rhabdoviruses have a very wide host range and have been isolated from plants, insects, and almost from all vertebrates including fish and primates. The Rhabdoviridae family consists of six genera which have all been associated with diseases. Symmetry used to be a fundamental phenomenon in crystallography, where its basic concept was elaborated, in morphological biology, and of course in mathematics, which provided its exact description. In the last half century symmetry (and symmetry breaking) has become a leading principle in physics, in all sciences that deal with the structure of matter, as well as in the biochemistry of proteins, the study of the genetic code, brain research (where functional asymmetries have been revealed), psychology, and in developing architectural structures and in business decision-making, to name but a few examples. This book seeks to find common regularities among these apparently disparate phenomena. It covers most of the achievements reached in the sciences in recent decades that have been given new impetus by the mutual influences of art and science related to symmetry (or the lack of it).
Sistemi ACM e imaging diagnostico : Le immagini mediche come matrici attive di connessioni = ACM systems and diagnostic imaging : Medical images as active matrices of connections
The first hypothesis underlying ACM (Active Connections Matrix) systems is that each N-dimensional image can be transformed into a network of interconnected pixels that develops over time through local, deterministic, and iterative operations. The transformed image can display, in a larger dimensional space, morphological and dynamic regularities that, in the original dimensions, would be invisible or could be classified as noise. This hypothesis allows us to explain the second hypothesis underlying ACM systems: each image contains within it the inherent mathematics that produced it. In practice, it is as if each image concealed within it two other invisible images. ACM systems extract them and make them visible. The work also describes possible applications in diagnostic imaging and is therefore aimed at physicists, computer scientists, radiologists, and laboratory technicians who work in image processing.
Sex determination using some metric and non-metric dental features in arab international university community
Canines exhibit the highest degree of sexual dimorphism among dental structures, making them particularly valuable for sex estimation in forensic and legal studies. Analyzing canine dimensions and morphological characteristics is crucial in forensic medicine and anthropology, as it can provide valuable insights into identity determination. This study aims to assess sexual dimorphism in the size dimensions of maxillary and mandibular canines, as well as the shape of the additional distal Ridge of mandibular canines, in a Syrian sample of students from the Arab International University.

Remnant Raising and Vso Clausal Architecture : A Case Study of San Lucas Quiavini Zapotec
San Lucas Quiaviní Zapotec, an endangered and little-examined indigenous language of Mexico, shows a range of syntactic and morphological phenomena incompatible with standard Minimalist accounts of verb movement: verbs and clearly phrasal constituents behave identically in a number of syntactic constructions, and the ordering of verbal morphemes is problematic for standard assumptions of verbal head movement.This work proposes a VP-remnant raising account for these phenomena, motivated by Kayne’s (1992) Antisymmetry program. This work also examines consequences of phrasal remnant movement for negation constructions, question formation; and the interpretation of tense, aspect, and mood.
