Information Resources Directorate – Arab International University
The Information Resources Directorate at the Arab International University (AIU) is a cornerstone of the university’s academic and research processes. It serves as the primary source for meeting the needs of students, faculty members, and researchers, providing access to course materials, lectures, assignments, and research resources throughout the duration of their university studies.
To meet international standards and academic accreditation requirements, and to accommodate the growing number of students, the university has established specialized libraries across various faculties, including:

- Pharmacy Library – 320 m², 3rd floor, Faculty of Pharmacy
- Information and Communications Engineering Library – 250 m², 2nd floor, Faculty of Information Engineering
- Architecture and Arts Library – 250 m², 2nd floor, Faculty of Architecture and Arts
- Civil Engineering Library – 120 m², 2nd floor, Circular Building
- Business Administration Library – 60 m², 3rd floor, Circular Building
- Dentistry Library – 80 m², 3rd floor, Faculty of Dentistry
- Law Library – 3rd floor, Circular Building
These libraries provide a healthy and productive study environment and serve as a primary gateway to printed and electronic knowledge resources, supporting teaching and scientific research. The libraries are managed by qualified staff who provide support to all users.
Services of the Information Resources Directorate
1. Provision of References and Electronic Libraries
The Directorate coordinates with faculty members to enrich the libraries with books, peer-reviewed references, and specialized journals. Cataloging and classification systems are applied to ensure easy access to resources.
2. Orientation Sessions and Guided Tours
The Directorate organizes orientation sessions and guided tours for new students and academics to familiarize them with library services and available resources.
3. Electronic Library Training
Students and academic staff are trained to effectively use electronic libraries and access global research databases.
4. Research and Reference Access
The Directorate provides access to more than 35,000 printed books and over 3 million e-books, as well as millions of articles, journals, and theses across various disciplines through global portals, including:

All libraries provide free internet access for students, faculty, and staff for research and study purposes.
