هذا الكتاب للإسهام في تعزيز دور المجتمع في نظام العدالة الجنائية، من خلال ضحايا الجريمة وحقوقهم المشروعة. ليس انحيازاً إلى جانب الضحية دون المجررم، ولكن بحثاً عن المصالحة وردم الهوة بين الدولة والمجتمع من جهة، والجناة والضحايا من جهة أخرى، والعمل على تنقية النفوس لإزالة ما علق من جراء الحادث الإجرامي أو الانحراف، بحيث يتحمل الجاني المسؤلية ويتفهم المجني عليه موقف الجاني ويلعب المجتمع دوره في إزالة أسباب النزاع وجذور الجريمة.

الدليل التشريعي لقانون الاعسار
دليل الأونسيترال التشريعي لقانون الإعسار أعدته لجنة الأمم المتحدة للقانون التجاري الدولي (الأونسيترال). وقد انبثق هذا المشروع من اقتراح عُرض على اللجنة في عام ۱۹۹۹ لكي تضطلع بمزيد من الأعمال في مجال قانون الإعسار وتحديدا إعسار الشركات، ولكي تدعم وتشجّع على اعتماد نظم وطنية فعالة بشأن إعسار الشركات، و يوفر هذا النص ودليل التشريع المصاحب له إطارًا يهدف إلى تبسيط سير مثل هذه الإجراءات والمساعدة في تطوير حل إعسار المجموعة، بما في ذلك من خلال توفير نظام للاعتراف عبر الحدود بحلول إعسار المجموعة والإعفاء الذي قد يكون مطلوبًا لدعم تطويرها.والهدف منه هو المساعدة في انشاء اطار قانوني ناجح لمعالجة ضائقة المدينين المالية

The yearbook Zutot serves as a platform for small but incisive contributions, and provides them with a distinct context. The substance of these contributions is derived from larger perspectives and, though not always presented in an exhaustive way, will have an impact on contemporary discussions. Zutot covers Jewish Culture in its broadest sense, i.e. encompassing various academic disciplines - literature, languages and linguistics, philosophy, art, sociology, politics and history - and reflects binary oppositions such as religious and secular, high and low, written and oral, male and female culture.

Zinc Finger Proteins: From Atomic Contact to Cellular Function
The scientists discovered a novel domain associated with zinc, and named this domain "zinc finger. " The number of proteins with similar zinc fingers grew quickly and these proteins are now called C2H2, Cys2His2 or classical zinc finger proteins. To date, about 24,000 C2H2 zinc finger proteins have been recognized. Approximately 700 human genes, or more than 2% of the genome, have been estimated to encode C2H2 finger proteins. From the beginning these proteins were thought to be numerous, but no one could have predicted such a huge number. Perhaps thousands of scientists are now working on C2H2 zinc finger proteins fi-om variou s viewpoints. This field is a good example of how a new science begins with the insight of a few scientists and how it develops by efforts of numerous independent scientists, in contrast to a policy-driven scientific project, such as the Human Genome Project, with goals clearly set at its inception and with work performed by a huge collaboration throughout the world. As more zinc finger proteins were discovered, several subfamilies, such as C2C2, CCHC, CCCH, LIM, RING, TAZ, and FYVE emerged, increasing our understanding of zinc fingers. The knowledge was overwhelming. Moreover, scientists began defining the term "zinc finger" differently and using various names for identical zinc fingers.

Zdenek Kopals Binary Star Legacy
Professor Kopal, who devoted 60 years of his scientific life to the exploration of close binary systems, initiated a breakthrough in this field with his description of binary components as non-spherical stars deformed by gravity, with surfaces following Roche equipotentials. Such knowledge triggered the development of new branches of astrophysics dealing with the structure and evolution of close binaries and the interaction effects displayed by exciting objects such as cataclysmic variables, symbiotic stars or X-ray binaries.

The premise that writing is a socially-situated act of interaction between readers and writers is well established. This volume first, corroborates this premise by citing pertinent evidence, through the analysis of written texts and interactive writing contexts, and from educational settings across different cultures from which we have scant evidence. Secondly, all chapters, though addressing the social nature of writing, propose a variety of perspectives, making the volume multidisciplinary in nature.
