Quality and Accreditation at Arab International University (AIU)

Arab International University began its journey in the field of quality and accreditation in early 2008 with the establishment of a specialized Directorate of Quality and Accreditation. Since its inception, the Directorate has achieved significant qualitative milestones that have positively impacted various aspects of university operations.

Driven by the university's belief in the growing importance of quality in higher education, AIU launched an integrated project to implement Total Quality Management (TQM). This initiative aims to instill a culture of quality across all academic and administrative activities, elevate institutional performance, and achieve the highest standards of excellence in university work.

Objectives of the Total Quality Management (TQM) Project

The TQM project at AIU aims to achieve several strategic goals, most notably:

• Preparing High-Standard Graduates: Equipping students with the highest qualitative standards to play an effective role in serving society and the nation.

• Local Excellence and Competitiveness: Producing graduates who stand out locally, possessing a competitive edge and a proactive spirit in various circumstances.

• Technological and Scientific Readiness: Providing graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to keep pace with the scientific and technological revolution, enhancing their ability to adapt to changes and continuously develop themselves and their environment.

• Fostering Ambition: Instilling a culture of high ambition in students and alumni, motivating them to strive for better living standards and advanced professional and personal futures.

Accreditation and Quality of Education

Through this project, AIU aspires to expand its cooperation with certified international bodies specializing in quality and accreditation. The goal is to obtain international accreditation for its academic programs and institutional performance, alongside its full commitment to the accreditation standards and rules issued by the Ministry of Higher Education in the Syrian Arab Republic.
