Ultrasonic Nondestructive Evaluation Systems : Models and Measurements

Ultrasonic Nondestructive Evaluation Systems: Models and Measurements provides the latest information and techniques available for ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation (NDE) inspections. Using a systems level approach, this book employs aspects of Fourier analysis, linear system theory, and wave propagation and scattering theory to develop a comprehensive model of an entire ultrasonic measurement system. The book also describes in detail the measurements needed to obtain all the system model parameters. This integrated approach leads to a new model-based engineering technology for designing, using and optimizing ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation inspections.

Ultrascale Computing Systems

The needs of future digital data and computer systems are expected to be two to three orders of magnitude larger than for today's systems, to take account of unprecedented amounts of heterogeneous hardware, lines of source code, numbers of users, and volumes of data. Ultrascale computing systems (UCS) are a solution. Envisioned as large-scale complex systems joining parallel and distributed computing systems, which can be located at multiple sites and cooperate to provide the required resources and performance to the users, these technologies will extend individual systems to provide the resources that are very much needed.

Ultimate aiu community = مجتمع الجامعة العربية الدولية المطلق

The inspiration for this project was the need to unify the university's disparate systems into a single, cohesive platform. By developing this system, we aimed to solve the fragmentation issue while leveraging the advancements in artificial intelligence to enhance the overall educational experience. The Ultimate AIU Community aims to streamline educational processes, foster community engagement, and provide a unified, intelligent solution for the modern era of education. This system consists of two main components: a mobile social media community application and an e-learning website. The mobile app allows students to share content, facilitated by an AI-driven toxicity detection model to ensure a respectful and safe environment. Additionally, the app serves as an information hub, displaying advertisements and updates from various campus entities such as instructors, student affairs, cafes, and bookshops.

Type-2 Fuzzy Logic : Theory and Applications

Describes new methods for building intelligent systems using type-2 fuzzy logic and soft computing techniques. Soft Computing (SC) consists of several computing paradigms, including type-1 fuzzy logic, neural networks, and genetic algorithms, which can be used to create powerful hybrid intelligent systems. The authors extends the use of fuzzy logic to a higher order, which is called type-2 fuzzy logic. Combining type-2 fuzzy logic with traditional SC techniques, we can build powerful hybrid intelligent systems that can use the advantages that each technique offers. We consider in this book the use of type-2 fuzzy logic and traditional SC techniques to solve pattern recognition problems in realworld applications.

Type Synthesis of Parallel Mechanisms

Focuses on the systematic type synthesis of parallel mechanisms (PMs), which is a key issue in the creative design of a wide variety of innovative devices based on PMs such as parallel manipulators, parallel kinematic machines (machine tools), motion simulators, haptic devices, micro-manipulators, and nano-manipulators. Type synthesis of PMs refers to finding all the types of PMs realizing a specified motion requirement. This book covers the classification of PMs and an efficient method for the type synthesis of PMs and also provides a large number of PMs ready to be used in practical applications. The synthesis approach is based on the concept of virtual chain and the elementary notions of screw theory.

Two Algebraic Byways from Differential Equations : Gröbner Bases and Quivers

Presents a fascinating collection of lecture notes focusing on differential equations from two viewpoints: formal calculus (through the theory of Gröbner bases) and geometry (via quiver theory). Gröbner bases serve as effective models for computation in algebras of various types.Divided into two parts, the book first discusses the theory of Gröbner bases in their commutative and noncommutative contexts, with a focus on algorithmic aspects and applications of Gröbner bases to analysis on systems of partial differential equations, effective analysis on rings of differential operators, and homological algebra. It then introduces representations of quivers, quiver varieties and their applications to the moduli spaces of meromorphic connections on the complex projective line.

Tutti i numeri sono uguali a cinque = All numbers equal five

Twenty-one stories, twenty-one authors, twenty-one fragments of life walking alongside science, in the most free and brazen way imaginable. Abandoning oneself to digressions, emotions, intuitions of the heart, images, sensations that flank the daily practice of science, but which are not part of codified science. In some stories, science is a method, an instrument, a way of relating to things and people; in others it becomes ideas, thoughts, behaviors, attitudes. Each story has a voice that emerges from the depths of the author's scientific culture, but also from his prejudices, from his way of being a person, from his vision of society, of the world.

Introduces some basic theories on computational neuroscience. Chapter 1 is a brief introduction to neurons, tailored to the subsequent chapters. Chapter 2 is a self-contained introduction to dynamical systems and bifurcation theory, oriented towards neuronal dynamics. The theory is illustrated with a model of Parkinson's disease. Chapter 3 reviews the theory of coupled neural oscillators observed throughout the nervous systems at all levels; it describes how oscillations arise, what pattern they take, and how they depend on excitory or inhibitory synaptic connections. Chapter 4 specializes to one particular neuronal system, namely, the auditory system. It includes a self-contained introduction, from the anatomy and physiology of the inner ear to the neuronal network that connects the hair cells to the cortex, and describes various models of subsystems.
