Intermediate accounting IFRS, international adaptation
International financial reporting standards (IFRS) are a set of accounting standards and rules issued by the international accounting standards board (IASB) that govern how particular types of transactions and events should be reported in financial statements. by presenting IFRS in light of current accounting practice, this book not only offers a more comprehensive understanding of IFRS standards but also emphasizes fair value, proper accounting for financial instruments, and new developments in international accounting. in addition to covering the latest IFRS standards and how they are applied in practice, this edition provides new learning aids such as accounting matters and analytics in action.
Interfacial Convection in Multilayer Systems
This book contains a systematic investigation of the convection in systems with interfaces. For the first time, it classifies all of the known types of convective instabilities in such systems, and discusses the peculiarities of multilayer systems. The book provides an overview of the wide variety of steady and oscillatory patterns, waves, and other dynamic phenomena characteristic for multilayer fluid systems. Various physical effects, including heat and mass transfer, thermal and mechanical couplings on the interfaces, interfacial deformability, the influence of surfactants on different types of convective motions are investigated.

Intensive Care Medicine in 10 Years
This volume seeks to identify the trends in critical care medicine that will form the basis for practice over the next ten years. Predicting the future is always risky. Nevertheless, the ideas articulated in this book are likely to serve as a road map for intensivists, hospital administrators and governmental leaders interested in healthcare, as they seek to improve the quality and efficiency of hospital-based services.
Intelligent engineering systems and computational cybernetics
A further important component of machine intelligence is a kind of “structural uniformity” giving room and possibility to model arbitrary particular details a priori not specified and unknown. This idea is similar to the ready-to-wear industry, which introduced products, which can be slightly modified later on in contrast to tailor-made creations aiming at maximum accuracy from the beginning. These subsequent corrections can be carried out by machines automatically. This “learning ability” is a key element of machine intelligence. The past decade confirmed that the view of typical components of the present soft computing as fuzzy logic, neural computing.
Intelligent Computing Everywhere
Intelligent Computing Everywhere investigates the relevance and relationship artificial intelligence maintains with "modern strands of computing" i.e. pervasive computing and ambient intelligence, bioinformatics, neuroinformatics, computing and the mind, non-classical computing and novel computing models, as well as DNA computing and quantum computing.
Intellectual Property in the Food Technology Industry : Protecting Your Innovation
Considering the effort and funding devoted to a company's success, understanding Intellectual Property rights patents, trade secrets, trademarks, and licensing is essential. Establishing appropriate internal policies from the outset can prevent companies from learning a costly and painful lesson in the courtroom. With Intellectual Property in the Food Technology Industry, currently the only book of its kind focusing specifically on the food industry, one will learn what to consider throughout the various creative phases of a product's lifespan from initial research and development initiatives through post-production.

Integrated Groundwater Management : Concepts, Approaches and Challenges
The aim of this book is to document for the first time the dimensions and requirements of effective integrated groundwater management (IGM). Groundwater management is a formidable challenge, one that remains one of humanity’s foremost priorities. It has become a largely non-renewable resource that is overexploited in many parts of the world. In the 21st century, the issue moves from how to simply obtain the water we need to how we manage it sustainably for future generations, future economies, and future ecosystems. The focus then becomes one of understanding the drivers and current state of the groundwater resource, and restoring equilibrium to at-risk aquifers. Many interrelated dimensions, however, come to bear when trying to manage groundwater effectively. An integrated approach to groundwater necessarily involves many factors beyond the aquifer itself, such as surface water, water use, water quality, and ecohydrology.
Integrated Circuit Packaging, Assembly and Interconnections
Integrated Circuit Packaging, Assembly and Interconnections is intended as a multi-purpose text, serving individuals looking for an introduction, or a review, or an update of the various IC packaging, assembly, and interconnection technologies. To this end, it provides an overview of the materials and the processes, as well as the trends and available options that encompass electronic manufacturing. It covers both the technical issues and touches on some of the reliability concerns with the various technologies applicable to packaging and assembly of the IC. The focus is on the electronic manufacturing process which, in its simplest form, involves assembly of the IC into a package or interconnect substrate or board. The book discusses the various packaging approaches available, namely, single chip, multichip, and Chip On Board; the assembly options, chip & wire, tape automated bonding, and flip chip; and the essential high density package/substrate manufacturing technologies, thin film, thick film, cofired ceramic, and laminate printed wiring board (PWB) processes. Included also is a discussion of high density PWBs using build up/sequential processes.
Integrable Systems in Celestial Mechanics
This work presents a unified treatment of three important integrable problems relevant to both Celestial and Quantum Mechanics. Under discussion are the Kepler (two-body) problem and the Euler (two-fixed center) problem, the latter being the more complex and more instructive, as it exhibits a richer and more varied solution structure. Further, because of the interesting investigations by the 20th century mathematical physicist J.P. Vinti, the Euler problem is now recognized as being intimately linked to the Vinti (Earth-satellite) problem. Here the analysis of these problems is shown to follow a definite shared pattern yielding exact forms for the solutions. A central feature is the detailed treatment of the planar Euler problem where the solutions are expressed in terms of Jacobian elliptic functions, yielding analytic representations for the orbits over the entire parameter range.
Integer programming and combinatorial optimization ; 9th International IPCO Conference, Cambridge, MA, USA, May 27-29, 2002. Proceedings
This volume contains the papers selected for presentation at IPCO 2002, the NinthInternationalConferenceonIntegerProgrammingandCombinatorial- timization, Cambridge, MA (USA), May 27–29, 2002. The IPCO series of c- ferences highlights recent developments in theory, computation, and application of integer programming and combinatorial optimization. IPCO was established in 1988 when the ?rst IPCO program committee was formed. IPCO is held every year in which no International Symposium on Ma- ematical Programming (ISMP) takes places. The ISMP is triennial, so IPCO conferences are held twice in every three-year period. The eight previous IPCO conferences were held in Waterloo (Canada) 1990, Pittsburgh (USA) 1992, Erice (Italy) 1993, Copenhagen (Denmark) 1995, Vancouver (Canada) 1996, Houston (USA) 1998, Graz (Austria) 1999, and Utrecht (The Netherlands) 2001. In response to the call for papers for IPCO 2002, the program committee received 110 submissions, a record number for IPCO. The program committee met on January 7 and 8, 2002, in Aussois (France), and selected 33 papers for inclusion in the scienti?c program of IPCO 2002. The selection was based on originality and quality, and re?ects many of the current directions in integer programming and combinatorial optimization research.
