Faculty of Architecture Show

The Faculty of Architecture at the Arab International University (AIU) held an outstanding exhibition for the students of restoration and rehabilitation course under the supervision of: Prof. Dr. Abeer Arqawi and engineer Asma'a AlMouaz.

 
Restoration and Rehabilitation Course: RR
The course aims at educating students to rehabilitate the historical areas and buildings within their architectural framework according to the scientific principles adopted locally and internationally. Students should present a documentary study of the historical site within its urban environment analyzing pros and cons in RR and presenting the optimal proposal for this.

The scientific material includes: providing a historical overview, analysis of construction values, identification of problems, and presenting a proposal for solution, indicating the values that must be preserved.

The corridors of the Faculty of Architecture of the Arab International University were decorated by excellent works of students of restoration and rehabilitation. Sculptures expressing different periods of our rich history and posters explaining important profiles of these buildings were among the objects exhibited.
