n a step that reaffirms the excellence of Syrian academic competencies, a research team from the Arab International University (AIU) has achieved a qualitative milestone by winning the "Best Research Paper from Syria" award at the IEEE Jordan Section Research Paper Contest (IJSRPC) 2026, among a wide range of academic submissions from various Syrian universities.

The research team, comprising three students under the supervision of Dr. Nadeem Ibrahim, presented a scientific paper entitled:

"Dual Model Framework for Stock Price Movement Prediction Using Technical Indicators and Financial News Sentiment with Decision Level Fusion"

The paper presents an innovative methodology for predicting stock price movements by constructing a Dual Model Framework that combines the analysis of Technical Indicators and Financial News Sentiment using Decision Level Fusion techniques, thereby providing higher accuracy in complex financial predictions.

In recognition of the excellence and scientific originality of this research, the paper has been accepted for publication in the proceedings of the 8th IEEE International Conference on Innovations in Electrical Engineering, Communications, and Information Technology (IEEE AEECT 2026) , a prestigious international conference indexed in the IEEE Xplore and SCOPUS databases, ensuring that this scientific innovation reaches the global research community.

This achievement is the fruit of intensive research efforts and the stimulating academic environment at the Arab International University, reflecting the high capability of Syrian students to keep pace with the latest developments in the fields of artificial intelligence and financial data analysis.
