Workshop on interactive e-learning

 
Within the framework of the capacity-building project called "Creative digital teaching methods and skills towards effective education in medical sciences in Lebanon and Syria ‘’DigiHealth", the first training workshop on the first steps to building academic digital content and using digital tools to design e-learning curricula was held at Beirut Arab University between 3-5 March 2020.
 
The workshop was attended by / 50 / participants from four Lebanese universities (Lebanese University LU - Beirut Arab University BAU - Modern University of Management and Science MUBS - Lebanese International University LIU) and three Syrian universities (AIU - Damascus University - University of Hama).
 
From the International Arab University, Dr. Marwan Al-Zabibi - Dr. Knaaz Al-Ituni, the National Project Coordinator - Dr. Nisreen Khankan from the College of Dentistry - Dr. Mazen Ragab and  Rania Matar,  Mazen Al Hajj and Lina Dalal from the College of Pharmacy.
 
The workshop focused on ways to transfer education from the traditional teacher-centered model to the modern student-centered model using digital tools and the curriculum redesign to serve interactive and collaborative learning. Dr. Fawzi Baroud, a UNESCO representative for open educational resources in Lebanon, also gave a presentation of free open education resources available online, along with a presentation of the current global trend of universities to build open sources of education.
