Electronic registration guide for the third semester of the year 2018-2019

The University administration congratulates successful students and graduates in the second semester of the year 2018-2019, and welcomes students wishing to enroll in the third semester (summer) year 2018-2019 According to the following instructions:
Registration begins for the third semester 20183 as of Saturday morning 15/06/2019 for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy only, and on Sunday 16/06/2019 for other colleges, and ends on Thursday 20/06/2019 in all colleges.
The student who is late to register during this period is liable to pay a financial fine after obtaining the explanation of the dean of the college for late registration. The student is responsible for compensating the missed material and examinations.
- Registration will be for the third semester 20183 remotely "electronically" through the portal EDUGATE, except students who are required to register manually (who are registered by the Academic Guidance Committee at the college exclusively. The student can register through the university's website via “Student Area” and access his page to choose "e – registration” link.
Students with no the Internet service in their homes, can register at the colleges within the computer labs equipped with internet access and allocated for this purpose during the registration period ( 8:00 am to 3:30 pm) .
Students expected to graduate at the end of the third semester 20183 should expedite the registration of their courses on the first day of registration for booking their places before classes are full.
Students who register through the portal can delete and add courses directly during the registration period . Students who are registered manually by the Academic Guidance Committee and faculty staff should review the Deanship of the College in the event of any need for any amendment to their programs.
For students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Early Registration Questionnaire for summer term will be taken into account.
Terms and Conditions of Registration Process :
- The student must specify his / her desire to subscribe in the university transportation service by the word Yes or No through Student Area , And if the option is not selected, the student page remains suspended and the student can not continue to register courses .
- The student must be financially free from the previous semester and pay the advance payment shown below before 10/06/2019 maximum :
First: Students registering with the university from the year 2005 to 2013:
- 000 All colleges
Second: Students registered in the university from the academic year 2014 until 2017:
- 000Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy
- 000For other colleges
Third: Students registering at the university in the academic year 2018 :
- 000 Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy
- 000{0 For other colleges
Or supplement the amount in case of a previous balance ( Before 10/06/2019)
Payment shall be made exclusively before 10/06/2019 In one of the following banks accredited by the university:

ü Arab Bank - Syria, Account Number : 202/31789/760/6010/000
- A student who has the above amount can register through the portal if he is not required to register manually .
Students of the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering who have completed 134 credit hours or more and did not specify their exact specialization, especially students expected to graduate at the end of the second semester of the year 2018-2019, must see Ms. Nour El-Huda Alyousouf (Head of the Department of the College) in order to determine their exact specialization before the start of registration.
Study load ( Number of hours to be registered ) : Based on Article 18 Of the system of standardized examinations issued by the decision of the Council of Higher Education No. ( 21) of the year 2014 , students in all colleges are entitled to register the number of hours shown in the following table: (unless the student is subject to the probation study)

Load of students expected to graduate by the end of the semester 20183:
- Students who are admitted to university before 2012-2013 are expected to graduate in class 20183 : They can register a maximum of 15 credit hours under the written approval of the dean of the college. The student registers 12 hours electronically or manually (within the college) and the remaining hours are registered by the Directorate of Admissions and Registration.
- Students admitted to the university as of 2012-2103 and are expected to graduate by the end of the semester 20183 , can register up to 12 hours according to the decision of the Higher Education Council No. / 21 / of 2014 .
- New and accepted students in the third semester of the year 2018-2019 : They are registered manually by the faculty officer so that the study load for each of them is 2 upto 9 Credit hours after ensuring that they sit for the English language placement test to determine the level of English language and register at the level set for them.
- To complete the registration process successfully, please follow the instructions below:
- Consequent repeaters students in more than 2 courses must start registering the failed subjects ( in order to improve the cumulative GPA so that they can open other materials in subsequent semesters), emphasizing that the committees of academic guidance in colleges will scrutinize this issue (this category of students is obliged to manual registering)
- Students with conditional success in more than ten courses must retake the final exam for some of these courses according to the academic guidance committees of the colleges.
- Students with incomplete courses ( I ) should be referred to the college administration in order to resolve the status of these courses, and only will be converted to Failed courses on the academic system at the end of the third week of the semester.
- It is recommended to register the academic writing course and scientific research " AWR " for students who have passed the English language Course (Level 3)
- Students who face obstacles that in completing the registration process correctly as the following cases:
Not being able to register all permitted courses he / she wishes to.
Failure to register the remedial English course due to incompatibility in the timetable.
ü Unable to register for technical reasons.

- Students who are required to register manually: The following categories of students will be registered manually by the Academic Guidance Committee at the College:
Their cumulative rates are less than 2 (dismissed from the specialization, or within the probation study, or dismissed academically).
Their cumulative rates are less than 1.5 and are in the case of the first or final academic warning.
Academically dismissed students who hold university degrees before 20121.
Students who have incomplete courses " Incomplete " .
Students who have missing documents in admitting or graduating from university.These students should check with the Directorate of Admissions and Registration (Mezzeh Office: Kassem Bardawil or Ahmed Laith Al-Anan) in order to complete the required documents and remove the barring and allow them to register courses.
Steps of Online Registration:
- The student chooses the means of transport through Student Area , And if not ticked, registration will be suspended .
- It then initiates the following registration steps:
- Access to the electronic gate through access to university services portal site
- Enter the user name "Student ID"
- Enter the special password that the student uses in "Student area"
- Go directly To Student Homepage :

The student's main page appears in two sections, the first shows the student's information, and the second shows the services available to the student according to his or her condition.
- Click on the link "Electronic Registration"
- Click on the link "Start Registration" The registration home page appears as follows :

This page shows the courses the student has registered or will register. The status of the course is shown in the case box and the student is given a reference indicating the availability of the course as shown in the following figure:

Or by clicking on the link "Add new course" as shown in the following figure:

By clicking on the link "Add new course" a page of available courses within a certain range of the plan appears.
The other part of the Course Description page, the available course sets, and the time of each course are shown, after which you must click on the link "+ Add" If the course is available for registration, or return to the previous page by clicking "Back"

- After completing the chosen courses You must install the registry by pressing "Registry Installation" as shown in the following illustration :
