Variant Construction from Theoretical Foundation to Applications

This book presents theoretical framework and sample applications of variant construction. The first part includes the components variant logic, variant measurements, and variant maps, while the second part covers sample applications such as variation with functions, variant stream ciphers, quantum interference, classical/quantum random sequences, whole DNA sequences, and multiple-valued pulse sequences. Addressing topics ranging from logic and measuring foundation to typical applications and including various illustrated maps.

Sequences and Their Applications – SETA 2006 ; 4th International Conference, Beijing, China, September 24-28, 2006, Proceedings

PrefaceThis volume contains the refereed proceedings of the Fourth International Con-ference on Sequences and Their Applications (SETA 2006), held in Beijing, Chinaduring September 24–28, 2006. The previous three conferences SETA ’98, SETA2001, and SETA 2004 were held in Singapore, Bergen, and Seoul, respectively. The SETA conferences are motivated by the numerous applications of sequencesin modern communication systems. These applications include pseudorandomsequences in spread spectrum, code-division-multiple-access, stream ciphers incryptography, and several connections to coding theory and boolean functions.

General Theory of Information Transfer and Combinatorics

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed research papers contributed to a research project on the `General Theory of Information Transfer and Combinatorics' that was hosted from 2001-2004 at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZIF) of Bielefeld University and also papers of several incorporated meetings thereof. The 63 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the book. The papers are organized in topical sections on probabilistic models, cryptology, pseudo random sequences, quantum models, statistics, probability theory, information measures, error concepts, performance criteria, search, sorting, ordering, planning, language evolution, pattern discovery, reconstructions, network coding, combinatorial models, and a problem section.

Fast software encryption ; 15th International Workshop, FSE 2008, Lausanne, Switzerland, February 10-13, 2008, Revised Selected Papers

Constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 15th International Workshop on Fast Software Encryption, FSE 2008, held in Lausanne, Switzerland in February 2008.The 26 revised full papers presented together with 4 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 72 submissions. The papers address all current aspects of fast and secure primitives for symmetric cryptology and are organized in topical sections on SHA collisions, new hash function designs, block cipher cryptanalysis, implementation aspects, hash function cryptanalysis, stream cipher cryptanalysis, security bounds, and entropy.
