The Arab International University was established to be a distinguished scientific landmark and an active partner in advancing the quality of higher education, and to provide a creative university environment built on innovation and interaction through the adoption of national and international standards for quality education. This includes developing its plans and curricula in line with global developments and meeting the needs of society. This is the supreme goal that the university has strived to achieve, contributing to the development and upbringing of conscious and promising generations.
The university has continued its journey for over two decades, during which it achieved a significant portion of its goals through qualitative leaps that enabled it to attain the highest ranks in classification among private Syrian universities. It remains on a continuous path of development by paying close attention to the quality of higher education and digital transformation across various university activities, especially educational ones. This is alongside the ongoing modernization of available specializations to meet market demands and global progress. It also continuously updates and develops its academic programs and study plans to keep pace with scientific advancements, coupled with persistent and ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure, educational frameworks, and elevate the knowledge level of the university environment on all fronts.
Since its inception, the university has made great efforts to build ties of cooperation with universities, technical institutions, and local and foreign research centers, aiming to exchange expertise, raise the standards of its staff, and benefit from student exchange opportunities. The university has secured a pioneering position in this field. It has also built partnerships with institutions in both the public and private sectors aimed at enhancing technological development and innovation, equipping students with scientific and practical skills, and creating spaces for creativity and entrepreneurship.
Despite the difficult circumstances the university has faced over the years, and the absence of postgraduate studies, the university has been active in the field of scientific research, encouraged publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and sought to link scientific research to market needs. It has also made room for student projects that serve community purposes and needs. Furthermore, the university is moving forward with confident steps towards fulfilling the requirements and mechanisms for obtaining national and international accreditation at both the programmatic and institutional levels.
The efforts that the university has exerted and continues to exert drive us to engage in intensive and systematic work to contribute to preserving the achievements the university has made, and to seek to invest them in achieving further development and advancement.
In conclusion, I confidently and hopefully address the various university councils, including the Board of Trustees, and the relevant university bodies, to engage in cooperative, coordinated, and systematic work, and to proceed according to well-studied executive methods and mechanisms, accompanied by continuous evaluation and governance, while adhering to the national controls approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Our university will, God willing, continue to forge ahead towards a promising future in which it flourishes and achieves more of its ambitions embodied in its vision, mission, and goals, relying first on God, and secondly on the capabilities of its administration, staff, and students. And God is the Grantor of success.
