Abstract

Recycled Concrete Aggregate, RCA, is usually made up of old concrete from the debris of destroyed buildings, the residues of construction and precast factories.

Reuse of RCA achieve two goals: Mitigate the negative effects on environment, public health and economy, throw dispensing of landfills. Recycled concrete aggregate can be used in combination with natural aggregates to produce concrete with accepted quality; this  will decrease the exhaustion of natural resources of aggregate, in addition to the positive impact on tourism the aesthetic factor of the

country, transport costs and creating new jobs. This research aims to enhance the properties of concrete using RCA, especially compressive resistance by improving aggregate paste bond.

Keywords: RCA, Recycled concrete, effects on environment.
