Prof. Dr. Hind Alzein
One of the most prominent specialists in Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, and Pharmacokinetics in Syria, with academic and research experience spanning over 25 years. She received her PhD in Pharmaceutics from Cairo University, specializing in Biopharmaceutics, and was subsequently appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Damascus, beginning a rich academic career.
She currently holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Damascus and teaches courses in Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, and Pharmacokinetics at the University of Damascus and the Arab International University. She has been supervising Master's courses in Industrial Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology since 1999, and in Clinical Pharmacy since 2004. She also contributed to the development of the first academic plan for the Arab International University, served as Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics there between 2005 and 2008, and then as Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology between 2014 and 2017.

She also participated in the translation into Arabic of the reference Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms and Drug Delivery Systems, and contributed to the authorship of the reference Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy published by the Arab Center for Arabization and Translation in 2023.
Her research record includes over 20 published papers in peer-reviewed international journals, covering topics such as drug stability, disperse systems, extended-release tablets, solubility enhancement, drug delivery system design, and modern pharmaceutical technologies.
Dr. Hind received two certificates of appreciation from the University of Damascus in 2021 in recognition of her research published in prestigious international journals.
She is known for her deep expertise in drug delivery system design, the development of advanced pharmaceutical formulations, and her supervision of generations of pharmacy students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
