Dr. Shaker Tunise
Holds a Ph.D. in Building and Structural Architectural Engineering from the Soviet Union, with extensive experience spanning over thirty years in higher education, urban planning, and sustainable development. He has held numerous academic and administrative positions, including Vice Dean of the College of Architectural Engineering and Head of the Urban Planning Department at the Arab International University, as well as Dean of the College of Architectural Engineering at Al-Yarmouk Private University.
He has led urban organization and development projects, including informal settlement areas, across several Syrian governorates. Additionally, he has participated in developmental projects in collaboration with international partners, such as the Japanese company JICA, serving as Head of the Syrian Counterpart Team (for JICA) in the Sustainable Planning and Development Project. He is also accredited as an expert engineer in urban planning by the Syrian Engineers Syndicate.
