Dr. Mohamed HASSAN
He holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the Université Pascal Paoli in France, with research focusing on the organizational impacts of information systems and technologies in institutions. He also earned a Master’s degree in Management Sciences from IAE d’Aix-en-Provence in France and a Diploma in Business Administration from the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in France, specializing in information systems, quantitative techniques in management, and human resource management.
With over three decades of academic experience in university teaching, supervision, and scientific research in Syria and abroad, he has served as a lecturer and instructor at several prominent universities and academic institutions, including Damascus University—Faculty of Economics, Arab International University, Syrian Private University, Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology, International University for Science and Technology, Syrian Virtual University, Arab Academy for E-Business, Université Pascal Paoli in France, and Siglo 21 University in Argentina.
He has taught dozens of specialized courses in areas such as management information systems, decision support systems, strategic management, digital marketing, knowledge management, project management, and managerial statistics. He has also held several leadership positions, including Director of the MBA program at the Higher Institute of Business Administration, Head of the E-Business Systems Management Department at the Arab Academy for E-Business, Director of Planning and Follow-up at the Mechanical Research Institute of the Scientific Research Center, and member of the supervisory committee for the Master’s program in Information Systems and Decision Support at the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology.
Alongside his academic work, he has provided consultancy services to various national institutions, such as the General Establishment for Foreign Trade and the State Planning Commission, and has contributed to business process reengineering and the development of administrative and information systems in both public and private sectors. He has also led and implemented software and organizational projects at the Scientific Research Center and the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology.
He has participated in international academic conferences in France, Turkey, and Lebanon, presenting research papers on topics such as digital management and the organizational impact of ERP systems. He has authored multiple publications, most notably his book "ISO 9000: Guidelines," published by Dar Al-Rida in Damascus in 1999, along with a series of specialized articles in academic journals on enterprise resource planning systems, supply chain management, customer relationship management, and software engineering.
He is fluent in several foreign languages, including French and English at an excellent level, and Spanish and German at an advanced level. He is a member of several international academic bodies, including the North American Association for Higher Education Internationalization (ANAHEI) and the Scientific Committee of the French academic journal Question(s) de Management.
