Dr. Mayadah Alkraan

Academy member and judge, holding a Bachelor's degree in Law from Damascus University, followed by a Master's degree in Private Law, and a Doctorate in Private Law from Damascus University.

She began her professional career as a trainee lawyer, then worked at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform as an assistant head of a division in the Directorate of Administrative and Legal Affairs. Later, she joined the Higher Institute of the Judiciary as a trainee judge, advancing through the judicial ranks to become President of the Civil Conciliation Court in Damascus, and then President of the Civil Court of First Instance (Competent Authority) in Damascus, a position she holds to this day.

Alongside her judicial work, she lectures at the Faculty of Law at the Arab International Private University (AIU), as well as at the Legal Technical Institute, where she teaches courses in private law.

She has several research papers published in peer-reviewed academic journals, including topics such as: "Proving the Lineage of an Illegitimate Child through Genetic Means," "Workers' Occupational Injuries and Their Impact on Ongoing Compensation," and "Criminal Liability for Breach of Trust."

She has also participated in specialized workshops on International Humanitarian Law, Quality Management, and Arbitration, and has obtained certifications in Quality Management and Legal Skills.
