Dr. Firas Dadikhi.
Specialized in construction project management, including project planning and tracking, global contract management under FIDIC contractual conditions, claims preparation, and change calculations, along with expertise in computer programming.
He earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering – Building Sciences and Project Management from the University of Savoie Mont Blanc in France, where his dissertation focused on developing a unified and flexible system for tracking public projects using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He also holds a Master’s in Project and Construction Management from the University of Aleppo, a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Aleppo.
In addition to his academic studies, he has completed several specialized courses, including FIDIC Contract Conditions in Dubai, Professional Project Management (PMP) in Dubai, Disaster Management, Structural Design using SAP2000, and Earthquake-Resistant Building Design.
He has held prominent academic and administrative positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Arab International University in 2025, and previously served as Vice President of the University and Vice Dean. He is also the owner and director of "Integral," a consulting, programming, and training company, and founded the "First Step" online vocational training platform in 2024, offering diploma training programs in construction company management.
He has undertaken consulting roles as a Planning and Contracts Manager with several engineering groups, such as "Hopkins Architects," "MAG," "Arabia Consultant Group," "Al Kharafi Contracting Company," and "Yacoubian Trading and Contracting Company." He has contributed to major projects both within Syria and internationally, including the "Taj Halab Development Project" and projects in Dubai such as the "DIFC Towers." His expertise extends to infrastructure projects and major hotels like the "Sheraton Aleppo," as well as structural design for earthquake-resistant industrial buildings.
In the academic field, he has been teaching at the Arab International University since 2013, covering diverse courses such as project management, construction technologies, engineering economics, planning and building laws, and engineering programming. He has also lectured at the University of Aleppo for undergraduate and graduate students on project and contract management and participated in educational programs supervised by the European Union.
He has published numerous research papers in the University of Aleppo journals and Arab and international engineering journals, addressing topics such as the development of contractual laws, the use of GIS in project tracking, contract issues in Syria and their solutions, and modern construction techniques like Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF). He has authored and published several reference books on project management, including the "PMP Exam" series (3rd to 6th editions), "Guide to Delay Calculations for Claims Preparation," and "Project Management Using MS Project." He has represented the Arab International University at international and regional scientific conferences in Syria, Spain, and the UAE, including Erasmus+ meetings.
