Dr. Amal Almukdad

 

Attorney and Professor at the Damascus Bar Association.
She graduated from Damascus University with a Bachelor's degree in Law, then obtained a Master's degree in Private Law, and continued her studies until she earned a Ph.D. with a dissertation on the topic of "Surrogacy Contracts Between Islamic Jurisprudence and Positive Law," a study that reflected her interest in contemporary legal issues and their applications in civil law.

She has extensive experience in academic teaching, having worked at several Syrian universities, including the Arab International University, Damascus University – Daraa Branch, Al-Rashid International Private University, and the Union Private University (IPU). She has taught a variety of legal courses, covering Real Rights, Sources of Obligation, Civil Procedure Law, Commercial Law, Labor Law, as well as Real Estate Legislation in the Faculty of Architectural Engineering.

Alongside her academic work, she held the position of Legal Assistant at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform – State Properties Department. She has also participated in several specialized workshops and training courses, most notably in International Commercial Arbitration and Bioethics, in addition to workshops on academic women's empowerment and scientific research. She has presented significant research related to legal adaptation during pandemics, surrogacy contracts, and the analysis of civil and jurisprudential laws in comparison with foreign legislation and international courts. She has also taken part in legal forums addressing real estate sales and rental laws in Syria.
