Dr. Eng. Rami Yared
Faculty Member at the College of Informatics Engineering – Arab International University
An academic and expert in informatics engineering, with extensive experience in university teaching and scientific research, along with advanced interests in the fields of the Internet of Things, ambient intelligence, network and computer security, big data, parallel computing, smart cities and homes, distributed systems, cloud computing, robotics, and mobile wireless communications.
He earned his Ph.D. in Informatics from JAIST University in Japan, where his research focused on distributed systems and advanced computing. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Informatics from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in France, after completing his undergraduate studies in informatics engineering at the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology in Damascus.
He has held several academic and research positions, including serving as a faculty member at the Arab International University since 2020, a faculty member at Qalamoun University during multiple periods, and as a researcher and professor at Sherbrooke and Bishop’s Universities in Canada. He began his professional career as an informatics engineer at the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology in Damascus (1994–2000), where he gained practical experience in designing information systems and developing technical solutions.
