Dr. Khaled Albatran
Academic and Syrian legal expert specializing in Public International Law, with extensive experience in university teaching and legal work spanning more than eight years.
He holds a PhD in International Law from the Odesa National Academy of Law in Ukraine (2013), in addition to a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the same institution. His degrees have been duly modified and equated by the Ministry of Higher Education of the Syrian Arab Republic, and he has completed the requirements for appointment as a faculty member.
He possesses extensive academic and legal experience, currently serving as Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Arab International University, after having held the position of Vice Dean for two years. He has been teaching at the faculty since 2019. He also taught in the Public International Law department at the University of Damascus – Qualification and Specialization Master's Program between 2020 and 2023, in addition to teaching at the Syrian Virtual University and Bilad Al-Sham University.
He works at the Impact Training Center, teaching online courses in Public International Law since 2025.
He has diverse professional experience, having worked as a lawyer in Damascus, completed practical training at the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Kyiv in 2006, and worked as an Arabic language teacher at Odesa International University of Humanities in 2005.
He has published several peer-reviewed legal papers under the affiliation of the Arab International University in the peer-reviewed Journal of Homs University for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023, and authored the prescribed textbook for Public International Law at the Faculty of Law. He is currently working on two new books in International Economic Law and Internal and External Internships.
He has supervised numerous graduation projects for graduating students at the Faculty of Law – Arab International University.
He has participated in international conferences and seminars in Algeria on environmental pollution and the principle of gender equality in Arab laws, and has supervised many graduation projects for Faculty of Law students.
He possesses multiple language skills including Russian, English, and Ukrainian, in addition to advanced technical skills in computer use. He has also completed several courses in business administration, human resources, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).
