Treatment of functional seizures in children and adolescents : A mind-body manual for health professionals
This treatment manual stems from a program developed by the mind-body team at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, a tertiary care paediatric hospital in New South Wales, Australia. The team's Mind-Body Program, organised as part of a consultation-liaison psychiatry service within the Department of Psychological Medicine, works with young people who present with functional somatic symptoms, including functional, stress or dissociative seizures.

Chronic disease are a major health problem and cause of death worldwide. And one of these disease is epilepsy. Epilepsy is a central nervous system (neurological ) disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal , causing seizures or periods of unusual behavior, sensation and sometimes loss of awareness. Are effected by Epilepsy. In this study , we will mention the most important Epilepsy drug ( carbamazepine, lamotrigine, valproic acid). We will mention other factors that help besides medication.

Epilepsy
Epilepsy has remained a significant social concern and financial burden globally. It is the most common neurological disease of the brain. Around 1% of the people worldwide have epilepsy and this disease affects people of all ages, Although the different types of epilepsy vary greatly, medication appropriate can control seizures in about 70% of patients, Medications are mainstays in controlling epileptic seizures, Partial seizures, which are the most common seizure type in adults, can be effectively controlled by virtually all the standard and newer antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). For the generalized epilepsies, valproate remains the drug of choice.
