This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Next Generation Teletraffic and Wired/Wireless Advanced Networking, NEW2AN 2008, held in St. Petersburg, Russia in September 3-5, 2008 in conjunction with the First ruSMART 2008.The 21 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 60 submissions. The NEW2AN papers are organized in topical sections on wireless networks, multi-hop wireless networks, cross-layer design, teletraffic theory, multimedia communications, heterogeneous networks, network security. The ruSMART papers start with three keynote talks followed by seven articles on Smart Spaces.
Distributed Cooperative Laboratories : Networking, Instrumentation, and Measurements
This is a highly interdisciplinary topic, where various aspects converge: multimedia communications and networking, sensor networks, Grid technology, Quality of Service (QoS) provisioning and control, network management, measurement instrumentation and methodology, architecture of measurement systems. The material is organized into six parts: Technologies for Real-Time Interactive Multimedia Communications; Monitoring, Management and Configuration of Networks and Networking Devices; Data Acquisition and Aggregation in Sensor Networks; Grid Structures for Distributed Cooperative Laboratories; Architectures and Techniques for Tele-Measurements; Virtual Immersive Communications and Distance Learning. Each contribution presents a self-contained treatment, within a framework that provides the reader with an up-to-date picture of the most recent state-of-the-art developments.

The two volume set LNCS 4351 and LNCS 4352 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 13th International Multimedia Modeling Conference, MMM 2007, held in Singapore in January 2007. Based on rigorous reviewing, the program committee selected 123 carefully revised full papers of the main technical sessions and 33 revised full papers of four special sessions from a total of 392 submissions for presentation in two volumes.
