New Vision of Metformin in treating cancer
The anti-diabetic drug metformin is rapidly emerging as a potential anticancer agent. Metformin is a biguanide that is effective in treating type 2 diabetes and the insulin resistance syndromes, improves insulin resistance by reducing hepatic gluconeogensis and by enhancing glucose uptake by skeletal muscle. Metformin can reduce the incidence of cancers and can reduce the mortality from cancers, increase the response to treatment cancer cells when using radiotherapy and chemotherapy, reduce the likelihood of relapse. Diabetes can be a factor in the occurrence of various types of cancer, and develop a variety of cancers such as colo-rectal, pancreas and liver cancers, compared to non-diabetic patients. Incidence of various cancers is high among patients of T2DM due to insulin resistance and mitogenic effects caused by hyperglycemia.

Methods of microarray data analysis V
In this volume, all investigators analyzed a single dataset on the lifecycle of the most deadly of malaria parasites, Plasmodium falciparum. The emphasis this year is on the application of novel and existing computational methodologies towards infectious disease. We highlight an introductory chapter by Raphael D. Isokpehi, a leading expert in the field of malaria. Ten of the papers presented at the conference are included, which range from the inference of genetic networks to the analysis of the spatial correlation of array data. This book is an excellent reference for academic and industrial researchers who want to keep abreast of the state-of-the-art in microarray data analysis.
Methods of microarray data analysis IV
As studies using microarray technology have evolved, so have the data analysis methods used to analyze these experiments. The CAMDA conference plays a role in this evolving field by providing a forum in which investors can analyze the same data sets using different methods. METHODS OF MICROARRAY DATA ANALYSIS IV is the fourth book in this series, and focuses on the important issue of associating array data with a survival endpoint. Previous books in this series focused on classification (Volume I), pattern recognition (Volume II), and quality control issues (Volume III). In this volume, four lung cancer data sets are the focus of analysis. We highlight three tutorial papers, including one to assist with a basic understanding of lung cancer, a review of survival analysis in the gene expression literature, and a paper on replication. In addition, 14 papers presented at the conference are included. This book is an excellent reference for academic and industrial researchers who want to keep abreast of the state-of-the-art of microarray data analysis.

Hosting server management
At a high level, this project involves building and configuring a hosting server to provide website, email, and FTP hosting services to customers. The project also includes building a website where customers can register an account, choose hosting packages, and manage their hosting plan by linking the website to the hosting server's control panel using APIs. To effectively manage the hosting server and provide reliable hosting services to customers, it is important to have a deep understanding of the technologies and protocols involved in web hosting. This includes knowledge of web server software, email protocols, FTP protocols, and security best practices.
High-performance Packet Switching Architectures
Internet traffic is increasing at a rate of at least 200% per year. The world’s largest Internet Service Provider has recently stated that it expects traffic capacity on its regional trunks to grow to a 1-10 petabit range over the next four to five years. Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM), long-haul fiber-optic links and high-capacity all-optical circuit switches are now being employed at the Internet core to process such massive traffic, consequently creating a demand for novel high-performance packet switching technologies (IP routers, ATM switches, and Ethernet Switches) which feed the optical core.
High performance computing in science and engineering 06 ; Transactions of the High Performance Computing Center, Stuttgart (HLRS) 2006
In July 2005, the new building for HLRS as well as Stuttgart’s new NEC supercomputer – which is still leading edge in G- many – have been inaugurated. In these days, the SSC Karlsruhe is ?nalizing the installation of a very large high performance system complex from HP, built from hundreds of Intel Itanium processors and more than three th- sand AMD Opteron cores. Additionally, the fast network connection – with a bandwidth of 40Gbit/s and thus one of the frst installations of this kind in Germany – brings the machine rooms of HLRS and SSC Karlsruhe very close together.
Generative adversarial text to image synthesis
Synthesizing high-quality images from text descriptions is a challenging problem in computer vision and has many practical applications. Samples generated by existing text-to-image approaches can roughly reflect the meaning of the given descriptions, but they fail to contain necessary details and vivid object parts. In order to make the project more specialized, it was approved that the project be dedicated to fashion image generation, we present an effective approach for generating new clothing through generative adversarial learning. Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) successfully show the capability of synthesizing sharper images compared to other generative models.
Fashionity
This project is an AI fashion design system to generate fashion images based on user textual description. The proposed system incorporates advanced technology for dissemination and machine translation with the aim of facilitating a seamless user experience for input in both Arabic and English languages. Moreover, the project encompasses the incorporation of a recommendation system that proposes appropriate visual content based on user style. The primary objective of this project is to develop a robust framework capable of generating high-quality images based on textual descriptions, providing recommendations for similar clothing items, and facilitating the retrieval of photographic and apparel articles through image search.

Deepfake detection
Recently, various techniques of manipulating the video content have become available to everyone – online, one can find free applications e.g., for face swapping in videos. Such universal accessibility carries a notable risk of flooding online content with false information, affecting not only the greats of this world, but also the whole societies, also the rapid progress in synthetic image generation and manipulation has now come to a point where it raises significant concerns for the implications towards society. It is therefore necessary to develop a verification tool that will help assess the authenticity of the videos posted on the internet. This project describes the approach of using artificial intelligence solutions to detect doctored videos.
Deepfake detection
The rise of large language models (LLMs) and the increasing sophistication of deepfake images have made detecting synthetic content a pressing challenge. Several approaches have been proposed to tackle this problem, including statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms. In this project, A novel zero-shot approach is proposed that utilizes the power of LLMs to detect fake text. The pre-trained LLM is fine-tuned to enhance its ability to differentiate real and fake text. The approach uses the LLM to detect text by analyzing the log probabilities of the text. For detecting fake images, computer vision algorithms and neural networks are used to analyze facial features. The facial region is cropped and preprocessed and the neural network identifies patterns indicative of synthetic content.
