Principles of BOI : Clinical, Scientific, and Practical Guidelines to 4-D Dental Implantology
Basal Osseointegration as a procedure developed on the basis of disc implantology is the method most commonly used for the unilateral treatment of advanced maxillary atrophy. The method is extremely well developed, because it was refined over a period of decades exclusively by practitioners and become established independently of the universities. The treatment aim can be achieved safely, easily and at low cost. Principles of BOI is most practical and explains exactly how things work. It provides treatment plans, tricks and pitfalls and step-by step guidance.

PHP Solutions : Dynamic Web Design Made Easy
PHP and the MySQL database are deservedly the most popular combination for creating dynamic websites. They're free, easy to use, and provided by many web hosting companies in their standard packages. Unfortunately, most PHP books either expect you to be an expert already or force you to go through endless exercises of little practical value. In contrast, this book gives you real value right away through a series of practical examples that you can incorporate directly into your sites, optimizing performance and adding functionality such as file uploading, email feedback forms, image galleries, content management systems, and much more. Each solution is created with not only functionality in mind, but also visual design.

Peer-to-Peer Video : The Economics, Policy, and Culture of Today's New Mass Medium
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) is a communication structure in which individuals interact directly, without going through a centralized system. The implications of this architecture go far beyond the technological realm; the ability of individuals to share digital content files, including audio and video material, in real time, facilitates communication and, at a deeper cultural level, promotes community without hierarchy or strict control. As Eli Noam, Lorenzo Pupillo, and their colleagues demonstrate in this timely and incisive volume, P2P has permeated all facets of society, from YouTube and music downloading experiments on college campuses to international policy debates over intellectual property rights. Peer-to-Peer Video is the first book to apply economic principles to analyze and understand the P2P phenomenon, considering such topics as "consumer demand and the commons" and "file sharing and the copyright crisis."

Peer-to-Peer Systems III ; 3rd International Workshop, IPTPS 2004, La Jolla, CA, USA, February 26-27, 2004, Revised Selected Papers
On February 26–27, 2004, the 3rd International Workshop on Peer-to-Peer S- tems (IPTPS 2004) brought researchers and practitioners together to discuss the latest developments in peer-to-peer technologies, applications, and systems. As the third workshop in the series, IPTPS 2004 continued the success of the previous workshops in pioneering the state of the art in peer-to-peer systems and identifying key research challenges in the area. The workshop received 145 submissions in the form of ?ve-page position papers. As with previous workshops, submissions went through two rounds of reviews by an international program committee of 14 experts from industry and academia. In the ?rst round eachsubmission receivedtwo reviews. In the second round we focused our attention on submissions with either positive reviews, or with reviews that expressed substantially di?erent opinions. In addition to the technical merit, the reviewing process emphasized originality and the potential of the submission to lead to interesting discussions during the workshop.
Peer-to-Peer Computing : Building Supercomputers with Web Technologies
Companies are again searching for ways to improve their processing power without further investment in new hardware and software. Many client computers are idle most of the time, and have unused disk space. The next logical step is to maximise the resources of these computers, and the peer-to-peer (P2P) model is the answer.

Palladium in Organic Synthesis
Presents a number of accounts and reviews on the novel Pd-catalyzed reactions discovered mainly in the last five years. The book covers Pd-catalyzed reactions that are new – entirely different from the more standard ones. Topics such as new reactions involving ß-carbon elimination and formation of palladacycles as key reactions, cross-coupling of unactivated alkyl electrophiles with organometallic compounds, arylation via C-H bond cleavage, Pd/norbornene-catalyzed aromatic functionalizations, three-component cyclizations of allenes, use of N-heterocyclic carbenes as ligands, asymmetric reactions catalyzed by Pd(II) compounds such as Lewis acids, cycloadditions of arynes and alkynes, and nucleophilic attack by Pd species are surveyed in detail by researchers who have made important contributions to these fields. The book addresses graduate students majoring in organic synthesis and researchers in academic and industrial institutes.
