Les médecins et les équipes soignantes perçoivent comme une nouvelle pression la nécessité de transmettre le diagnostic de cancer et de discuter des options thérapeutiques avec un patient qui n’est pas toujours prêt à s y confronter. Bien que l’on puisse saluer le partage de l’information et encourager la transparence, le médecin prend le risque du blocage de dialogue, d’une indifférence, au pire d’un traumatisme. L’idée d’une diminution d’un certain pouvoir médical s’insinue dans le « dispositif » d’annonce qui renvoie la clinique à des apprentissages techniques. Au contraire, certains médecins cherchent à s’inscrire dans un mouvement plus démocratique. Ils constatent que pour le malade, savoir n’est pas choisir, et que dans les cas difficiles, ils restent encore décideurs. Cet ouvrage fait le point sur les changements obtenus par les lois et leurs conséquences sur les pratiques et incite à une réflexion philosophique sur la vérité et les vérités des interlocuteurs de la scène médicale.
Leptin
The discovery of leptin little more than a decade ago, as a hormone produced in white adipose tissue with an important role in satiety and energy expenditure, was a seminal event in our understanding of adiposity. This initial advance in the new endocrinology of obesity was soon followed by the realization that leptin was not only produced in adipose tissue, but in many different tissues of the body, and that receptors were similarly distributed. Additionally, the early recognition of infertility that was associated with leptin deficiency prompted research that identified roles for the polypeptide in virtually every area of reproductive biology.

An important aspect in multi-agent systems (MASs) is that the environment evolves over time, not only due to external environmental changes but also due to agent int- actions. Machine learning techniques for single-agent frameworks are well established. Agents operate in uncertain environments and must be able to learn and act - tonomously. This task is, however, more complex when the agent interacts with other agents that have potentially different capabilities and goals. The single-agent case is structurally different from the multi-agent case due to the added dimension of dynamic interactions between the adaptive agents. Multi-agent learning, i.e., the ability of the agents to learn how to cooperate and compete, becomes crucial in many domains. Le dépistage du cancer colorectal : État des lieux et perspectives = Colorectal cancer screening: Current status and perspectives
Prevention and screening are two major challenges for Public Health to reduce cancer mortality in our country. Screening for colorectal cancer is therefore quite exemplary. The number one cancer in both sexes in France, its incidence continues to increase due to the aging of the population. Its mortality remains high, in the order of fifty percent, despite the major therapeutic advances made in recent years. Preceded by a precancerous lesion - the adenomatous polyp, which can be removed by colonoscopy - colorectal cancer is also curable at the early stage. Finally, it can be the subject of a screening strategy, the impact of which has been demonstrated today on the reduction in mortality, when it is detected before any symptom by a simple test for blood in the stool followed by , in case of positivity, by a total colonoscopy. This book takes stock of the scientific rationale and the state of play of organized colorectal cancer screening in France. It is also an opportunity to discuss emerging techniques and strategies that can help improve the results of this screening if they prove their superiority over the current strategy. Intended primarily for doctors, this book is also intended for healthcare professionals and all those who, concerned about their health, have a proactive attitude in terms of screening and preventing this cancer.
