Advanced Practical Environment for Designing and Managing Computer Networks

The Networks Laboratory at the Arab International University aims to provide students with advanced practical experience in designing, implementing, testing, managing, and securing computer networks according to the latest standards in networking technologies. The laboratory also focuses on training students to interconnect networks, build integrated network solutions, and develop network applications tailored to modern system requirements.

The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including network switches, routers, wireless access points, and wireless controllers, in addition to accessories and tools necessary for conducting practical experiments, such as network cables, testing tools, and network performance analyzers. It also includes modern computers loaded with specialized software, including network simulators, packet analyzers, and supporting applications that enhance the educational process.

The laboratory is designed with high flexibility, allowing it to operate as a single integrated network or as multiple independent networks. It features eight interconnected network platforms that can be used collectively to form a comprehensive network or separately according to the requirements of educational experiments.

During practical sessions, students carry out experiments step by step using specially prepared instructional guides. This enables them to acquire skills in analyzing, designing, developing, managing, and securing computer networks, including the most widely used and advanced technologies in the current digital era.
