Nutraceuticals and bone health
Here is an informative volume on the importance of nutraceuticals and herbal remedies for bone health. Nowadays we are facing numerous and important imaging problems: nondestructive testing of materials, monitoring of industrial processes, enhancement of oil production by efficient reservoir characterization, emerging developments in noninvasive imaging techniques for medical purposes - computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), X-ray and ultrasound tomography, etc. In the CIME Summer School on Imaging (Martina Franca, Italy 2002), leading experts in mathematical techniques and applications presented broad and useful introductions for non-experts and practitioners alike to many aspects of this exciting field. The volume contains part of the above lectures completed and updated by additional contributions on other related topics: a general presentation and introduction (Moscoso), X-ray tomography (Natterer), Electromagnetic imaging (Dorn, Bertete-Aguirre, Papanicolaou), coherent imaging in telecommunications in a multiple input-multiple output setup (Dorn), polarization based optical imaging (Moscoso), topological derivatives used in shape reconstruction related to inverse scattering problems (Carpio, Rapún), Point interactions (Dell’Antonio, Figari, Teta).
Genome Mapping and Genomics in Fishes and Aquatic Animals

Effect of Cranberry in the Treatment of E. Coli
Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria normally live in the intestines of healthy people and animals. It may cause severe stomach cramps, bloody diarrhoea, vomiting and UTI. You may be exposed to E. coli from contaminated water or food especially raw vegetables and undercooked ground beef. Healthy adults usually recover from infection with E. coli within a week. Young children and older adults have a greater risk of developing a life-threatening form of kidney failure. Cranberries are a popular superfood. Development and In-vitro Dissolution Test of Pilocarpine PVA : Hydrogel Lenses
Due to high water content of hydrogel (wetting) and due to extended drug release comparing to ophthalmic solution and higher transparency comparing to ophthalmic ointment, soft contact lenses were found to elongate contact time with the eye and use it for long time without causing hypoxia or needing multiple dosing per a day. The objective of the study was to design, fabricate, and investigate the effectiveness of PVA hydrogel with DMSO soft contact lens in releasing the model drug, pilocarpine.

Carpooling optimization
The aim of this project is to collect and use the GPS data from mobile devices to get geolocations and translate this data to paths, starting points and destinations to detect patterns out of each individual trajectories that have stochastic nature on the close sight and find representations of those patterns. The second half of the artificial intelligence algorithms has the task of finding the optimal matching of the patterns that were detected in a computation efficient way that achieve the most efficient way of transportation.
