Understanding Intrusion Detection through Visualization
Presents Understanding Intrusion Detection through Visualization presents research on why false alarms are, and will remain a problem; then applies results from the field of information visualization to the problem of intrusion detection. This approach promises to enable the operator to identify false (and true) alarms, while aiding the operator to identify other operational characteristics of intrusion detection systems. This volume presents four different visualization approaches, mainly applied to data from web server access logs.
Remote antenna laboratory measurements and control for E-learning using LabVIEW
Our project aims to design and implement a remote control system for the ED-3200 antenna laboratory, which performs experiments and measurements in the laboratory on different types of antennas, using several frequencies, in order to know the antenna pecifications and draw its radiation pattern. These lab experiments were performed remotely using LabVIEW software development environment, web and internet technologies. The same techniques and tools can be applied to conduct lab experiments and measurements remotely in different specializations (medicine, engineering and industry).
