Postmodern Analysis

“Modern Analysis” as represented in the works of the Bourbaki group or in the textbooks by Jean Dieudonn´ e is characterized by its systematic and axiomatic treatment and by its drive towards a high level of abstraction. Given the tendency of many prior treatises on analysis to degenerate into a collection of rather unconnected tricks to solve special problems, this de?nitely represented a healthy achievement. In any case, for the development of a consistent and powerful mathematical theory, it seems to be necessary to concentrate solely on the internal problems and structures and to neglect the relations to other ?elds of scienti?c, even of mathematical study for a certain while. Almost complete isolation may be required to reach the level of intellectual elegance and perfection that only a good mathem- ical theory can acquire. However, once this level has been reached, it can be useful to open one’s eyes again to the inspiration coming from concrete external problems.

Player creation system (PCS)

Human simulation in a virtual environment has been the focus of many studies in recent years. Achieving such a task would open up limitless possibilities, it can, for example, benefit many aspects of life such as educational and medical purposes. This project aims to train Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to accurately synthesize a human’s voice, reconstruct their body and facial features as well as teaching an AI agent how to walk. This report documents the aspects. regarding the voice cloning aspect, our goal is to synthesize human’s voice using a short audio recording of that human, which is achieved through a pipeline consisting of three neural networks, voice encoder neural network, synthesis neural network, vocoder neural network.

Ordinary Differential Equations with Applications

Contains both theory and applications, with the applications interwoven with the theory throughout the text. The author also links ordinary differential equations with advanced mathematical topics such as differential geometry, Lie group theory, analysis in infinite-dimensional spaces and even abstract algebra.This edition incorporates corrections and improvements of the original text. New material includes a proof of the Grobman-Hartman theorem for flows based on the Lie derivative, more extensive treatment of the Euler-Lagrange equation and its applications, a proof of Noether's theorem on the existence of first integrals in the presence of symmetries and a new section on dynamic bifurcation with a proof of Pontryagin's formula. The impressive array of existing exercises has been more than doubled in size and further enhanced in scope, providing mathematics, physical science and engineering graduate students with a thorough introduction to the theory and application of ordinary differential equations.

Courbes algébriques planes = Plane Algebraic Curves

Resulting from a master's course at the University of Paris VII, this text is re-edited as it appeared in 1978. Various tools are introduced in connection with Bézout's theorem necessary for the development of the notion of the multiplicity of intersection of two algebraic curves in the complex projective plane. Starting from elementary notions on affine and projective algebraic subsets, we define the intersection multiplicities and interpret their sum in terms of the resultant of two polynomials. The local study is a pretext for the introduction of formal or convergent series rings; it culminates in Puiseux's theorem, the convergence of which is reduced by splits to that of the theorem of implicit functions. Various figures illuminate the text: we "see" in particular that the homogeneous equation x3 + y3 + z3 = 0 defines a torus in the complex projective plane.
