The Impact of Market Makers on Liquidity at Bahrain Bourse
We compare between two types of trading systems at Bahrain Bourse; the first one is called auction trading while the second one called market making. We wanted to know which would could offer more liquidity and more activity on selling / buying securities. We use paired sample t-test to compare trading volumes of both trading systems and find that trading volumes increases upon the application of new trading system. This study gives important insights to the management of Damascus Securities Exchange (DSE) and recommends the need to a move to market makers system to avoid continuous changes in reference prices upon the activation of article 35 of trading regulations.
The Impact of Management Expenses on Company’s Profitability
The purpose of this project to determine the impact of the general and administrative expenses on a firm’s profitability that include return on assets ratio and return on equity. The data analysis was carried out on data collected between 2015 and 2020 from a sample of 120 of the company in the stock market (banks, insurance, industrial sector companies, agriculture and service). All though general and administrative expenses do not have a statistically significant effect on the return on assets ratio of the firm, they do have an effect on the return on equity ratio of the firm whereas, the lower the general and administrative expenses, the higher the return on equity ratio.
The impact of leadership behavioral integrity and trust on the employees’ organizational trust : Empirical Evidence from the private health sector in Syria
Examines the effect of leader trust and leader behavioral integrity on the employee’s organization trust. Based on the assumption that there is a direct link between leader trust and leader behavioral integrity (Independent Variables), on organization trust (Dependent Variable), we have examined the relationship between these variables. The research methodology applies a deductive quantitative approach that collects quantifiable data by using survey instrument. Sampling strategy included interviewing employees across different hospitals which makes up 84.37% of the data, and from an online form that was shared on social media platforms making 15.62% of the data.
The Impact of E-trading on the liquidity of Damascus Securities Exchange
This study aims to evaluate the impact of introducing electronic trading system in Damascus Securities Exchange (DSE) on market liquidity. To achieve this objective, we collect data on trading volume before and after the introduction of e-trading It is the only authorized entity in Syria in which previously issued securities are traded in the primary market for the whole period (2020-2022). Using SPSS, we apply the independent sample t-test to answer this question. We document an increase in trading volumes after the introduction of the e-trading services slightly but insignificantly. That is, after offering E-trading, we figured out an increase in the number of shares traded, however,it did not make a significant differences in trading volumes.

The Impact of COVID-19 on the Spread of E-Services: Case Study in Damascus City
Investigates the relationship between COVID-19 and the spread of E-Services in Damascus city; it was based on deductive methodology that guided us to collect the primary data through distributing a questionnaire which based on Likert five scale. As well as, the sample was set from infinite population. To analyze data, we used correlation measurements in addition to two types of regression analysis (simple linear regression, Stepwise regression); plus, the researchers tested the power of the relation between COVID-19 and the spread of E-services by involving the demographic variables as moderator variables.
The Impact of Automatic Store Replenishment on Retail : Technologies and Concepts for the Out-of-Stocks Problem
Companies in the fast moving consumer goods industry increasingly look for technologies to improve customer satisfaction while reducing costs at the same time. A technology allowing to raise the availability of products on the retailers' shelves while providing cost reduction opportunities is automatic store replenishment (ASR). It is an intelligent software that automatically places inventory replenishment orders.
The Gut Microbiome
The gut microbiome is now becoming known for its role in metabolism, immune defense, and behavior. From in utero variations to those that rapidly occur post-partum, our gut microbiome changes with age, environment, stress, diet, and health status as well as medication exposure. The human microbiome have a greater complexity than the human genome itself and it is composed of communities of bacteria (and viruses and fungi). The human microbiome has a very important functions such as development of immunity, host nutrition including production of short-chain fatty acids important in host energy metabolism defense against pathogens, synthesis of vitamins and fat storage as well as an influence on human behaviors, making it an essential organ of the body without which we would not function in a perfect manner.

The God Beyond Belief : In Defence of William Rowe's Evidential Argument from Evil
The first extended study of Rowe’s defense of atheism on the basis of evil, Nick Trakakis comprehensively assesses the large body of literature that has developed in response to Rowe’s work, paying particular attention to two strategies employed by critics: firstly, the appeal to mystery – the idea that God may well have reasons for permitting evil that lie beyond our comprehension; and secondly, the appeal to theodicies, where this involves offering explanations as to why God allows evil to abound in his creation (free will theodicies, for example, argue that God could not prevent us from acting wrongly without at the same time curtailing or removing our free will). Trakakis unearths significant difficulties in both strategies, and concludes that – absent any evidence in support of theism – the God of theism must be judged to be "beyond belief".
The Genetic Code and the Origin of Life
Early Thoughts on RNA and the Origin of Life The full impact of the essential role of the nucleic acids in biological systems was forcefully demonstrated by the research community in the 1950s. Although Avery and his collaborators had identified DNA as the genetic material responsible for the transformation of bacteria in 1944, it was not until the early 1950s that the Hershey-Chase experiments provided a more direct demonstration of this role. Finally, the structural DNA double helix proposed by Watson and Crick in 1953 clearly created a structural frame work for the role of DNA as both information carrier and as a molecule that could undergo the necessary replication needed for daughter cells. Research continued by Kornberg and his colleagues in the mid-1950s emphasized the biochemistry and enzymology of DNA replication. At the same time, there was a growing interest in the role of RNA. The 1956 dis covery by David Davies and myself showed that polyadenylic acid and polyuridylic acid could form a double-helical RNA molecule but that it differed somewhat from DN A A large number of experiments were subsequendy carried out with synthetic polyribonucleotides which illustrated that RNA could form even more complicated helical structures in which the specificity of hydrogen bonding was the key element in determining the molecular conformation. Finally, in I960,1 could show that it was possible to make a hybrid helix.
The Generic Chaining : Upper and Lower Bounds of Stochastic Processes
What is the maximum level a certain river is likely to reach over the next 25 years? (Having experienced three times a few feet of water in my house, I feel a keen personal interest in this question. ) There are many questions of the same nature: what is the likely magnitude of the strongest earthquake to occur during the life of a planned building, or the speed of the strongest wind a suspension bridge will have to stand All these situations can be modeled in the same manner. The value X of the quantity of interest (be it water t level or speed of wind) at time t is a random variable. What can be said about the maximum value of X over a certain range of t? t A collection of random variables (X ), where t belongs to a certain index t set T, is called a stochastic process, and the topic of this book is the study of the supremum of certain stochastic processes, and more precisely to find upper and lower bounds for the quantity EsupX

The Four Pillars of Geometry
The Four Pillars of Geometry approaches geometry in four different ways, spending two chapters on each. This makes the subject accessible to readers of all mathematical tastes, from the visual to the algebraic. Not only does each approach offer a different view; the combination of viewpoints yields insights not available in most books at this level. For example, it is shown how algebra emerges from projective geometry, and how the hyperbolic plane emerges from the real projective line. The author begins with Euclid-style construction and axiomatics, then proceeds to linear algebra when it becomes convenient to replace tortuous arguments with simple calculations. Next, he uses projective geometry to explain why objects look the way they do, as well as to explain why geometry is entangled with algebra. And lastly, the author introduces transformation groups---not only to clarify the differences between geometries, but also to exhibit geometries that are unexpectedly the same.
The Formation Process of SME Networks : A comparative case analysis of social processes in Austria, Belgium and Turkey
Although the advantages of cooperations, such as cost sharing, access to new markets and increased flexibility, are well-known and discussed in literature, the realization of the concept remains challenging.Marita Haas claims that social processes are decisive for the success of SME networks and creates a phase concept based on group theory that describes how owners of small enterprises enter into a cooperation. The framework is applied to three network formation cases in Austria, Belgium and Turkey. The author shows that group theory is a useful tool to understand and anticipate processes in networked organizations and indicates that the group formation process must be accomplished before a network will be able to create benefits.
