Biodiversity-health-sustainability Nexus in socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes (SEPLS)
It is a compilation of case studies that provide useful knowledge and lessons that derive from on-the-ground activities and contribute to policy recommendations, focusing on the interlinkages between biodiversity and multiple dimensions of health (e.g., physical, mental, and spiritual) in managing socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes (SEPLS). This book provides insights on how SEPLS approaches can contribute to more sustainable management of natural resources, achieving global biodiversity and sustainable development goals, and good health for all. It is also expected to offer useful knowledge and information for an upcoming three-year thematic assessment of “the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food, and health” (the so-called “nexus assessment”) by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). The book begins with an introductory chapter followed by eleven case study chapters demonstrating the nexus between biodiversity, health, and sustainable development, and then a synthesis chapter clarifying the relevance of the case study findings to policy and academic discussions. It will be of interest to scholars, policymakers, and professionals in the field related to sustainable development.

Bio-Applications of Nanoparticles
In this edited book, we highlight the central players in the Bionanotechnology field, which are the nanostructures and biomolecules. The book starts by describing how nanostructures are synthesized and by describing the wide variety of nanostructures available for biological research and applications. Also shown are the techniques used to synthesize a wide variety of biological molecules. Next, there is a focus on the assembly of nanostructures with biological molecules, which could lead to the design of multi-functional nanosystems. This book shows how humankind can ‘prevent dangerous interference with the c- mate system’ without dangerous interference with the global economic system. In the two underlying studies on behalf of the Ministry of Environment and Transport of i the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg, the results have been elaborated through scientific evaluation of different climate protection systems and intensive developmental work on an efficient climate protection system. The results will be presented in nine chapters according to the following nine basic R&D steps: 1. Quantifying the ‘ultimate climate objective’ of the world community in order ‘to prevent dangerous interference with the climate system,’ thus achieving climate sustainability; 2. Development of a comprehensive standard system for evaluating the prospect of success for different climate protection systems; 3. Based on this scientific standard system, evaluation of the current Kyoto system and of the most important proposals for ‘incremental regime evolution’ of the Kyoto system. Unfortunately, it must be noted that these systems are incapable of achi- ing climate sustainability; 4. Evaluating three proposals for ‘structural regime change’ of the Kyoto system. Best diagnostic tools and supportive medication for cancer patients
Cancer is still a lethal disease despite the development of new effective therapies; therefore the purpose of our study was to improve the patient's outcome by looking for the best diagnostic tools, secondly to improve radiotherapy resistance since about 50% of all cancer patients are treated with it. The fir st par t of our study will be per formed in Alkhatib center and the selection of that hospital was upon its highly sensitive diagnostic tools, in which PET/ CT scan was playing a major role to improve survival as shown in few repor ts in our study, and it’s the only safe diagnostic tool for a per son who has a metal fragments after injury in the war which increased the number of such patients in our country dur ing the last decade. This diagnostic tool is based on FDGin which we can define the tumor by using sugar more than normal tissue.

Behavioral medicinal therapy for ADHD & transdermal patches
ADHD is a popular disorder, often diagnosed in children in young ages. we aimed our study to focus on this disorder since it has a great impact on education and academic achievement. Although its widespread recently more than last twenty years, but in our survey we noticed that the reported cases in Syrian ministry of education is much lower than we observed in our practical clinical study. We will present the history, symptoms, risk factor, prognosis and therapy of this disorder with comparative study between two forms of treatment. According to this research and our practical work, we will find the best choice in treatment after diagnosed with ADHD
