Zoonosi e sanità pubblica : Un approccio interdisciplinare per un problema emergente = Zoonosis and Public Health: An Interdisciplinary Approach to an Emerging Problem
Zoonoses, that is, naturally transmissible infections between other animal species and man, are now an emerging problem, even in developed countries. Climate change, human migration flows, growth in international trade and wars favor both the re-emergence of diseases considered rare and the introduction of potentially pathogenic organisms into new geographical areas. For most of these pathologies, however, the majority of health professionals - starting with general practitioners - often do not have appropriate and up-to-date knowledge and tools. The text aims to provide medical personnel - and primarily general practitioners - with both a scientific and regulatory framework and a series of specific and practical information on individual pathologies. This volume is intended to be an operational tool also aimed at encouraging multidisciplinary collaboration and the exchange of information, in particular between doctors and veterinarians.

Secondly, all chapters, though addressing the social nature of writing, propose a variety of perspectives, making the volume multidisciplinary in nature. Wiki: Web Collaboration
Wikis are Web-based applications that allow all users not only to view pages but also to change them. The success of the Internet encyclopedia Wikipedia has drawn increasing attention from private users, small organizations and enterprises to the various possible uses of wikis. Their simple structure and straightforward operation make them a serious alternative to expensive content management systems and also provide a basis for many applications in the area of collaborative work. We show the practical use of wikis in carrying out projects for users as well as for maintainers.
