Emergent Intelligence of Networked Agents
his book is based on communications given at the Workshop on Emergent Intelligence of Networked Agents (WEIN 06) at the Fifth International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-agent Systems (AAMAS 2006), which was held at Future University, Hakodate, Japan, from May 8 to 12, 2006. WEIN 06 was especially intended to increase the awareness of researchers in these two fields sharing the common view on combining agent-based modeling and complex networks in order to develop insight and foster predictive methodologies in studying emergent intelligence on of networked agents. From the broad spectrum of activities, leading experts presented important paper and numerous practical problems appear throughout this book. The papers contained in this book are concerned with emergence of intelligent behaviors over networked agents and fostering the formation of an active multi-disciplinary community on multi-agent systems and complex networks.
Elasto-Plastic and Damage Analysis of Plates and Shells
This book presents a finite element model for the elasto-plastic and damage analysis of thin and thick shells. Linear elastic, inelastic and softening behaviors caused by damage in structural shells, as well as large rotations are investigated.

Eating disorders are a type of serious mental health condition characterized by severe disturbances in eating behaviors and related to persistent eating behaviors that negatively impact your health, your emotions and your ability to function in important areas of life. Faced with these difficulties, which often manifest themselves in behaviors such as giving up trying or responding at random, the didactic action aimed at recovery is generally a local action, which arises from the identification of errors and then intervenes on knowledge deemed necessary to respond correctly. But this type of intervention generally proves to be unsuccessful, and the teacher - together with the pupil - develops a sense of helplessness and frustration.
Dietary interventions for human general and oral health and disease reduction
Nutrition is considered an integral part of health and oral health in terms of treatment and prevention. Large-scale group decision-making : State-to-the-art clustering and consensus paths
The proposed consensus models focus on the treatment of non-cooperative behaviors in the consensus-reaching process and explores the influence of trust loss on the consensus-reaching process.The logic behind is as follows: firstly, a clustering algorithm is adopted to reduce the dimension of decision-makers, and then, based on the clusters’ opinions obtained, a consensus-reaching process is carried out to obtain a decision result acceptable to the majority of decision-makers.
Bulk Metallic Glasses : An Overview
Bulk Metallic Glasses explores an emerging field of materials known as bulk metallic glasses. It summarizes the rapid development of these materials over the last decade and includes documentation on diverse applications of bulk metallic glasses; from structural applications to microcomponents. Some of the applications covered are pressure sensors, microgears for motors, magnetic cores for power supplies, and nano-dies for replacing next generation DVDs. The chapters cover current theories and recent research including an atomistic theory of local topological fluctuations, atomistic simulations, and unique microstructures of these amorphous materials. Other topics include glass formation, glass forming ability, and the underlying mechanisms and physical insights of these criteria. The mechanical deformation of bulk metallic glasses, fatigue, fracture, and corrosion behaviors of these materials are also reviewed.
Behavioral interventions for prevention and control of sexually transmitted diseases
Before AIDS, the role of behavioral interventions in preventing transmission of sexually transmitted diseases was acknowledged in text books and journals but rarely promoted effectively in public health practice. The ?rst IFIP Workshop on Autonomic Communication (WAC 2004) was held 2004 in Berlin, Germany. The purpose of this workshop was to discuss Autonomic Communication—a new communication paradigm to assist the design of the next-generation n- works. WAC 2004 was explicitly focused on the principles that help to achieve purposeful behavior on top of self-organization (self-management, self-healing, self-awareness, etc. ). The workshop intended to derive these common principles from submissions that study network element’s autonomic behavior exposed by innovative (cross-layer optimized, context-aware, and securely programmable) protocol stack (or its middleware emulations) in its interaction with numerous, often dynamic network groups and communities. The goals were to understand how autonomic behaviors are learned, in?uenced or changed, and how, in turn, these a?ect other elements, groups and the network. Panel reports were compiled by panel moderators and conclude this volume.

To be able to modify behavior, it is necessary to take into account, on the one hand, the individuals themselves and what leads them to change their ways of living and, on the other hand, the cultural, social, physical and economic environment. who shapes people and whose modifications are necessary for individual changes. Thus, preventive health actions are effective as long as they strengthen the ability to exercise control over individual and collective health determinants.
