Selected Topics in Complex Analysis : The S. Ya. Khavinson Memorial Volume
This volume is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding mathematician S.Ya. Khavinson. It begins with an expository paper by V.P. Havin presenting a comprehensive survey of Khavinson's works as well as certain biographical material. The complete bibliography following this paper has not previously been published anywhere. It consists of 163 items; a considerable part of these cannot be found in easily accessible sources.
Selected papers on soil mechanics
This volume of selected papers by Professor A W Skempton is published to mark his 70th birthday on 4th June 1984. In making the selection of papers we aimed to show Skempton's breadth of interest and achievement int he general field of soil mechanics and to include papers that the practising engineer, research worker and student will find of value to have to hand. For the early papers the selection was influenced by a historical interest in addition to intrinsic merit.

This volume of selected papers is A Statistical Model: Frederick Mosteller's Contributions to Statistics, Science, and Public Policy, edited by Stephen E. Fienberg, David C. Hoaglin, William H. Kruskal, and Judith M. Tanur (Springer-Verlag, 1990), and to Mosteller's forthcoming autobiography, which will also be published by Springer-Verlag. It includes a biography and a comprehensive bibliography of Mosteller's books, papers, and other writings.

This book about the ACM Workshop on Security and Privacy in Digital Rights Management is the ?rst scienti?c workshop with refereed proceedings devoted solely to this topic. Digital Rights Management technology is meant to provide end-to-end so- tions for the digital distribution of electronic goods. Sound security and privacy features are among the key requirements for such systems. the program committee selected 15 papers for presentation at the workshop. They cover a broad area of relevant techniques, including cryptography, system architecture, and cryptanalysis of existing DRM systems. Three accepted papers are about software tamper resistance, an area about which few scienti?c articles have been published before. Another paper addresses renewability of security measures. Renewability is another important security technique for DRM systems.
Secure and Smart Internet of Things (IoT) Using Blockchain and AI
Up to 28 billion devices will be connected to the Internet with only one third of them being computers, smartphones and tablets. The remaining two thirds will be other "devices"--Sensors, terminals, household appliances, thermostats, televisions, automobiles, production machinery, urban infrastructure and many other "things"--which traditionally have not been Internet enabled. This "Internet of Things" (IoT) represents a remarkable transformation of the way in which our world will soon interact. Much like the World Wide Web connected computers to networks, and the next evolution connected people to the Internet and other people, IoT looks poised to interconnect devices, people, environments, virtual objects and machines in ways that only science fiction writers could have imagined.
Second Assessment of Climate Change for the Baltic Sea Basin
This book is an update of the first BACC assessment, published in 2008. It offers new and updated scientific findings in regional climate research for the Baltic Sea basin. These include climate changes since the last glaciation (approx. 12,000 years ago), changes in the recent past (the last 200 years), climate projections up until 2100 using state-of-the-art regional climate models and an assessment of climate-change impacts on terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecosystems. There are dedicated new chapters on sea-level rise, coastal erosion and impacts on urban areas. A new set of chapters deals with possible causes of regional climate change along with the global effects of increased greenhouse gas concentrations, namely atmospheric aerosols and land-cover change.

Science and its History : A Reassessment of the Historiography of Science
Professor Joseph Agassi has published his Towards an Historiography of Science in 1963. It received many reviews by notable academics, including Maurice Finocchiaro, Charles Gillispie, Thomas S. Root resorption : Pathophysiology & Management
Root resorption is a clinical condition whereby the mineralized tissues of the root are lost, mainly as an immunological response due to various factors. Root resorption has been a perplexing clinical condition for dental practitioners as it has a broad range of clinical manifestation with varied severity and also due to the associated diagnostic dilemma. Early detection is essential for successful management and outcome of root resorption. Root resorptions have several local and systemic predisposing factors. Hence, patients with a history of one or more predisposing factors should be monitored closely for initial signs of root resorption.
