Wide-Gap Chalcopyrites

Chalcopyrites, in particular those with a wide band gap, are fascinating materials in terms of their technological potential in the next generation of thin-film solar cells and in terms of their basic material properties. They exhibit uniquely low defect formation energies, leading to unusual doping and phase behavior and to extremely benign grain boundaries. This book collects articles on a number of those basic material properties of wide-gap chalcopyrites, comparing them to their low-gap cousins. They explore the doping of the materials, the electronic structure and the transport through interfaces and grain boundaries, the formation of the electric field in a solar cell, the mechanisms and suppression of recombination, the role of inhomogeneities, and the technological role of wide-gap chalcopyrites.

Whos Who in Fluorescence 2005

This new 2005 volume features some 382 entries from no fewer than 32 countries, an increase from 312 entries in the 2003 volume. In addition, we have a continued strong company support, which will enable us to further disseminate the volume in 2005. In this regard we especially thank the instrumentation companies for their continued support, where without their finical contributions; it is likely that the volume would not be the success it is today.

Whiteness and Class in Education

Considers the practices of whiteness and how practitioners might consider critical whiteness studies in anti-racist practice. It is concerned with not only identifying how ‘white supremacy’ continues to dominate educational discourse and practice but how it can be resisted.

White Dwarfs : Cosmological and Galactic Probes

The emphasis on white dwarf stars and cosmology arises from the most recent advances in cosmological and galactic structure research in which white dwarf stars are playing a very prominent role. Examples are Type Ia supernovae (i.e. white dwarf supernovae), the origin and evolution of the universe, the age of the galactic disk, cosmochronology using white dwarfs in globular clusters and galactic clusters, and the physics of accretion onto compact (very dense) stars. As an assisting guide to the reader, we have included, by invitation, comprehensive review articles in each of the four major areas of the book, white dwarf supernovae, cosmology, accretion physics and galactic structure. The reviews include introductory material that they build upon.

What is Drug Addiction?

Drug addiction is A socially common term and medically means Dependence that is a complex neurobiological disease that requires integrated treatment of the mind, body, and spirit. It is considered a brain disease because drugs change the brain, they change its structure and how it works. Without treatment, these brain changes can be long-lasting, Addiction is chronic, progressive, and if left untreated, it can be fatal. Individuals struggling with drug addiction often feel as though they cannot function normally without their drugs. This can lead to a wide range of issues that impact addictive daily life, personal relationships, and overall health. Over time, these serious side effects can be progressive, and if left untreated, it will lead to death.

What does our nail tells us

A nail is a keratinized structure that protects the fingertip and the adjacent tissues from injuries. Abnormalities in the nail shape, attachment, surface and color can be occurred due to several conditions like dermatological disorders, systemic diseases, fungus, hereditary, drugs and malnutrition. Human nails may act as an indication and it is a very useful method for the treatment of various illnesses related to specific organ system such as renal system, pulmonary diseases, gastrointestinal disease, cardiovascular system, hematologic system, endocrine system, infectious disease, central nervous system, psychological disorders and autoimmune disorders.

What are the optimal strategies for managing avulsed permanent teeth?

Dental avulsion is considered the most severe form of traumatic tooth injury, as it involves damage to multiple structures and results in the tooth being completely displaced from its socket. Effective management protocols for avulsed teeth should address both the pulp and periodontal ligament (PDL) cells to enhance the long-term and survival of these teeth.

Wetlands and Natural Resource Management

We have given the organizers of these symposia the opportunity to produce one chapter for these books with the integrated content of their symposium. This has resulted in 25 chapters, of which 13 are included in Volume 190 under the heading “Wetlands and Natural Resource Management”and 12 in Volume 191 under the heading “Wetlands: Functi- ing,Biodiversity Conservation and Restoration”. With these books,we had the aim to summarize the most important recent scientific results in wetland science, their applications in wetland and water resource management and their implications for the development of global, national and regional policies in the perspective of the ever-progressing deterioration of natural wetlands and the major impacts that future climate change will have.

Website Generator

The Website Generator project is focused on creating a software tool for generating HTML code from an image or text. The goal of the project is to simplify the website building process and make it accessible to a wider audience with little to no coding experience. The project includes the design and implementation of a userfriendly interface for uploading images or text, a server for processing the image or text, and the ability to customize the generated HTML code. The project uses computer vision algorithms and image processing techniques for converting images into HTML code and Named Entity Recognition (NER) for converting text into HTML code.
