The RSA R Conference, with over 15,000attendees, as well as over 225 sponsors and exhibitors, is the largest computer security event of the year. The Cr- tographers’ Track is one of the many parallel tracks. These proceedings contain the papers presented during the sixth edition. The tradition indeed started in 2001, and is by now well established: the Cryptographers’ Track at the RSA Conference is among the major events in cryptography. There were 72 submitted contributions, of which 22 were selected for p- sentation. This book is a follow-up of LNCS volume 2929 with the same title, and presents the major results of COST action 274 (2002-2005), TARSKI: Theory and - plications of Relational Structures as Knowledge Instruments. Relational structures abound in the daily environment: relational databases, data-mining, scaling procedures, preference relations, etc. Reasoning about, and with, relations has a long-standing European tradition, which may be divided into three broad areas: 1. Algebraic Logic: algebras of relations, relational semantics, and algebras and logics derived from information systems. 2. Computational Aspects of Automated Relational Reasoning: decidability and complexity of algorithms, network satisfaction. 3. Applications: social choice, AI, linguistics, psychology, economics, etc. The main objective of the ?rst TARSKI book (LNCS 2929) was to advance the understanding of relational structures and the use of relational methods in applicable object domains.

The Successful Use of Information in Multinational Companies : An exploratory study of individual outcomes and the influence of national culture
The recent past shows a growing interest in cultural specificities. This new-found focus has its origin in reports about corporate practices indicating that globally standardized information systems are not effective in every culture. One explanation for this observation is that information use practices vary among cultures.Based on data collected in three national subsidiaries of a multinational company, Sebastian-Dominik Jais examines the use of information in the United States, South Korea and Germany. The results indicate that differences in information use practices only exist if the type of information use is not determined externally, e.g. by technical necessity or task necessity.
