Dimension and Recurrence in Hyperbolic Dynamics
The main objective of this book is to give a broad unified introduction to the study of dimension and recurrence in hyperbolic dynamics. It includes the discussion of the foundations, main results, and main techniques in the rich interplay of four main areas of research: hyperbolic dynamics, dimension theory, multifractal analysis, and quantitative recurrence. It also gives a panorama of several selected topics of current research interest. More than half of the material appears here for the first time in book form, describing many recent developments in the area such as topics on irregular sets, variational principles, applications to number theory, measures of maximal dimension, multifractal nonrigidity, and quantitative recurrence. All the results are included with detailed proofs, many of them simplified or rewritten on purpose for the book.

We are delighted to welcome the attendees of the Fourth International Wo- shop on Digital Watermarking (IWDW). Watermarking continues to generate strong academic interest. Commercialization of the technology is proceeding at a steadypace. We haveseen watermarkingadoptedfor DVD audio.Fingerpri- ing technology was successfully used to determine the source of pirated video material. Furthermore, a number of companies are using watermarking as an enabling technology for broadcast monitoring services. Watermarking of digital cinema contentis anticipated. Future applications may also come from areas- related to digital rights management. For example, the use of watermarking to enhance legacy broadcast and communication systems is now being considered. IWDW 2005 o?ers an opportunity to re?ect upon the state of the art in digital watermarking as well as discuss directions for future research and applications. This year we accepted 31 papers from 74 submissions. This 42% acceptance rate indicates our commitment to ensuring a very high quality conference.
Digital Signal Processing with Field Programmable Gate Arrays
Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) are revolutionizing digital signal processing as novel FPGA families are replacing ASICs and PDSPs for front-end digital signal processing algorithms. So the efficient implementation of these algorithms is critical and is the main goal of this book. Currently, many Syrian citizens need to use the services offered by the Recruitment Department, resulting in overcrowding in a single location for similar purposes. This situation places a significant burden on both citizens and the government. The mobile application will facilitate various services such as enlistment and postponing military service by employing a well-designed software architecture that ensures scalability and efficient distribution of these services.

Designing Democracy : Ideas for Better Rules
While liberal democracies are the best systems of self-governance for societies, they rarely invoke great enthusiasm. On the one hand, democracies have been known to fail in achieving efficient or fair allocations. On the other hand, many citizens take the democratic system for granted as they have yet to experience an alternative. In this book the vision we propose is that the potential of democ racies has not yet been exhausted, and that optimal democracies are both the Utopia for societies and the aim that scientists should be committed to. We present a number of ideas for drawing up new rules to im prove the functioning of democracies. The book falls into two parts. The first part examines ways of combining incentive contracts with democratic elections. We suggest that a judicious combina tion of these two elements as a dual mechanism can alleviate a wide range of political failures, while at the same time adhering to the founding principles of democracies. The second part presents new rules for decision-making and agenda setting. Together with modern communication devices, these rules can sometimes transcend the limitations of liberal VI Preface democracies in achieving desirable outcomes. Examples of such rules include the flexible majority rule where the size of the ma jority required depends on the proposal, or the rule that only those belonging to the winning majority can be taxed.
Designing & Implementing an IDS in SDN
Solving the problem of the various type of unknown attacks that are hitting not only companies but also high level business individuals, of course we know that there is no way to stop the attacks permanently but this project is attempting to reduce these attacks to the possible minimum where it can detect the attack and declare its type so that the hostile can at least know what is the type of attacks on him and what to do in response and build a higher security. This system is implemented using the SDN environment and IDS technology for monitoring the traffic on the network and for detecting the attack and its type. Also the SDN technology has a built-in OpenFlow protocol. To work in an OF environment, any device that wants to communicate to an SDN controller must support the OpenFlow protocol.

This atlas and instructional text is intended for use by pathologists, dental specialists, and interested students. These are admirable goals. It is a good introduction as the title implies . The author is an outstanding, well established expert in this field.The diagrams and photographs are truly outstanding. The gross photographs of tissue specimens are the best I have seen in any book. This stands alone in the field as a replacement for extinct texts
