Transfer Admission

Transfer from other universities:

Documents required for students who wish to transfer from other universities:
In addition to previous documents the student should submit the following: 
If a student is transferred from a university or an institute outside Syria he should bring a transcript from the university or the institute he transferred from duly certified with two certified copies. 
If a student is transferred from a university or an institute inside Syria he should bring a transcript from the university or the institute he transferred from certified by the university and signed by the president of university and by the persons who prepared and reviewed it in addition to the legalization by the Ministry of Higher Education. 
File of the university life of student in the university he transferred from. 
Certified Courses Description.

The student shouldn't be considered as registered at the university unless he submits all required documents duly certified and legalized by the Ministry of Higher Education and issuance a decision by the University Senate  regarding equivalency of courses. 

Conditions of transfer from other universities for graduating students:

Transfer (similar transfer) of Syrian or non-Syrian students registered at non-Syrian private or state universities is possible according to the following conditions:

The university where they study should be accredited and recognized in the country of study and in the Syrian Arab Republic. 
Transfer from private universities that are non-accredited in their country is not allowed. 
Grade Point Average of student in the high school certificate shouldn't be less than 10 % of the minimal limit required for registration at the faculty which the student desire to transfer to based on the rules set out in the Higher Education Council Resolution No. 126, dated March 11, 2007. 
High School Certificate obtained by the student should comply with rules of admission at the university.
The student should be promoted or passed to the 2nd year at the university from which the student desires to transfer from, or passed with a GPA of 25 % of the accredited hours in case of the university adopts this system. 

Students registered at both private and state universities are allowed to transfer according to the following conditions:

Student should comply with the condition of GPA in the high school certificate in the year of admission. 
The student has to be studied for a period not less than one academic semester at the university which he desires to transfer from. 
The student can't graduate from the university unless he studies for one academic year at least or passed with a GPA of 25 % of the credit hours if the university adopts this system. 
It is not allowed to transfer from the open learning system, or virtual learning system or participation or tuition by correspondence. 

Transfer conditions from other universities regarding students obtaining an institute certificate or bachelor's degree: 

It is allowed to admit the student who holds an intermediate institute certificate according to the following conditions: 

Specialty of student should comply with the specialty he desires to register in accordance with the rules applied at the Ministry of Higher Education, according to the following schedule No. 13.
His GPA in the institute's certificate should be Very Good at least. 
If his GPA in the high school certificate is equal to the GPA of admission at the faculty he will be accepted regardless of the GPA of the institute's GPA. 
The student in both cases – b and c should be handled on the basis of the intermediate institute's certificate. 
Exemption shouldn't increase 20 % of hours accredited at the faculty which he will be accepted in, and according to what will be decided by the competent university senates based on the decision of exemption issued by the university senate. 

It is allowed to accept the student who has a university degree to be registered in the university according to the following conditions: 

The specialty of student should be in conformity with the specialty which the student he desires to register in according to the rules applied at the Ministry of Higher Education. 
His GPA in the Bachelor's degree should be Good at least. 
If his GPA in the high school certificate is equal to the GPA of admission at the faculty in the year of admission he will be accepted regardless of the GPA of the Bachelor's degree. 
Student in both cases b and c should be handled on the basis of Bachelor's degree. 
Exemption shouldn't exceed 25 % of the hours accredited at the faculty which he will be accepted in and in accordance with what will be decided by the competent university senates, but if the student is holder of Bachelor's degree in Biology, he can be accepted at the Faculty of Pharmacy, provided that the exemption shouldn't exceed 35 % of the accredited hours.
