Il Parlagioco : Uno strumento per comunicare attraverso il gioco = he Parlagioco: A tool for communicating through play
Il Parlagioco nasce da un'esperienza riabilitativa con un bambino autistico, il cui linguaggio aveva bisogno di regole comunicative. Per questo è stato creato un gioco di carte per realizzare uno scambio interattivo attraverso il desiderio di comunicare giocando. Il Parlagioco è servito anche a ridurre l'iperselettività tipica dell'autismo, orientando l'attenzione del bambino verso gli elementi esaustivi, ignorando i dettagli insignificanti allo scopo di cogliere i nessi di un insieme necessari a una comprensione globale. Da questa esperienza il Parlagioco è stato ulteriormente sviluppato per promuovere la pragmatica della comunicazione e le regole del linguaggio in ambito clinico. La sua applicazione nei disturbi specifici del linguaggio permette di ampliare il lessico, la comprensione di nuovi vocaboli e la produzione di richieste. Quando il disturbo del linguaggio è invece associato a ritardo mentale nelle malattie genetiche o neurologiche, esso consente delle facilitazioni nel proporre compiti specifici di riabilitazione linguistica. La presentazione grafica allettante e la proposta ludica fannno si' che esso sia facilmente applicabile anche in ambito scolastico e familiare.

Damian Hedinger examines the question of health care at the end of life, which is becoming more and more important due to demographic aging and increasing life expectancy. He proceeds from both a scientific and a socio-political perspective and uses administrative data from Switzerland to find out why one spends a longer or shorter period in a home or hospital and why one dies where. It turns out that in addition to medical factors, socio-economic, familial and cultural determinants also have a significant influence on health care before death.

Il processo di identificazione è per una droga vegetale di enorme importanza ai fini dell'efficacia e sicurezza della stessa. Infatti la risposta terapeutica e gli effetti indesiderati sono fortemente condizionati dall'identificazione della droga e dalla presenza di contaminanti botanici. Il testo si compone di due parti; la prima sintetizza gli aspetti diagnostici che indirizzano verso il riconoscimento della droga vegetale, mentre la seconda descrive gli aspetti macro- e microscopici della droga ed i saggi chimici e farmacologici che consentono con certezza l’identificazione della stessa. Infine, l’ultima parte riporta alcuni esempi di cromatogrammi e di tracciati di organi isolati.
Effective Multicultural Teams : Theory and Practice
Offers something that few other textbooks do: an accessible and understandable approach to discern the implications of complicated research. It will be a useful resource in courses on team building, multicultural and international issues at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I was most impressed with the use of research from so many different cultures. Too often we take a Western, or even a U.S., perspective and assume that our way is the best way without understanding the cultural contexts. This material certainly avoids that trap.

Cosmic microwave background radiation is the residue of the great heat following the Big Bang. A tenuous sign, over 13 billion years old, in which the answers to many of the questions about the nature of our Universe are hidden. Discovered by chance in 1964, in the last forty years this fossil trace of the origins of the Cosmos has been explored with every available means. Two Nobel Prizes in physics have already been awarded for research involving it, the last in 2006 for the results of the COBE satellite. Much of the information encoded in the cosmic background radiation was impressed by the superimposition of acoustic waves present in the early Universe: a "music" of the Big Bang, which cosmologists have tried for years to reconstruct, using techniques similar to those that allow to distinguish the sound of different musical instruments.
