Designing Inclusive Futures reflects the need to explore, in a coherent way, the issues and practicalities that lie behind design that is intended to extend our active future lives. This encompasses design for inclusion in daily life at home but also extends to the workplace and for products within these contexts.
Designing Accessible Technology
This book was stimulated by the third CWUAAT workshop, held in Cambridge, England in April 2006; the contributors representing leading researchers in the fields of Inclusive Design, Rehabilitation Robotics, Universal Access and Assistive Technology. Contributions focus on the following topics: design issues for a more inclusive world / enabling computer access and the development of new technologies / assistive technology and rehabilitation robotics and understanding users and involving them in design.
Deepfake detection
Recently, various techniques of manipulating the video content have become available to everyone – online, one can find free applications e.g., for face swapping in videos. Such universal accessibility carries a notable risk of flooding online content with false information, affecting not only the greats of this world, but also the whole societies, also the rapid progress in synthetic image generation and manipulation has now come to a point where it raises significant concerns for the implications towards society. It is therefore necessary to develop a verification tool that will help assess the authenticity of the videos posted on the internet. This project describes the approach of using artificial intelligence solutions to detect doctored videos.
