Zukunft der Arbeit in Industrie 4.0 = Future of work in Industry 4.0
The future project "Industry 4.0", which represents a central element of the high-tech strategy of the federal government, aims at the computerization of the classic industries, such as e.g. B. industrial production. On the way to the Internet of Things, the merging of the virtual with the physical world to form cyber-physical systems and the resulting possible merging of technical processes with business processes should lead Germany as a production location into a new era. The technology program "Autonomics for Industry 4.0" of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is part of the future project "Industry 4.0". This volume was created in the context of this programme. The book gives an overview of possible ways into the future of work under the conditions of autonomy and Industry 4.0. Key challenges, opportunities and risks are identified from the point of view of research, industry and the social partners. Exemplary design solutions from the areas of production and automation technology, robotics, virtual engineering, agricultural machinery and learning factories illustrate the trends presented in the book.

Beginning with a section exploring detailed methods for use of zebrafish to model a variety of human diseases, the book continues by illuminating the key ongoing role of the fish model in studies of the vertebrate nervous system, tools and approaches using zebrafish to study stem cell and regenerative biology, as well as techniques in genetics and genomics. Written for the highly successful Methods in Molecular Biology series, chapters include introductions to their respective topics, lists of the necessary materials and reagents, step-by-step and readily reproducible laboratory protocols, as well as tips on troubleshooting and avoiding known pitfalls.
Zdenek Kopals Binary Star Legacy
Professor Kopal, who devoted 60 years of his scientific life to the exploration of close binary systems, initiated a breakthrough in this field with his description of binary components as non-spherical stars deformed by gravity, with surfaces following Roche equipotentials. Such knowledge triggered the development of new branches of astrophysics dealing with the structure and evolution of close binaries and the interaction effects displayed by exciting objects such as cataclysmic variables, symbiotic stars or X-ray binaries.

Yeast as tool in cancer research
The collection of articles in this volume explores the use of yeast in pathway analysis and drug discovery. Using yeast in the study of drug targets and metabolism can help to make a science of what has been largely an empirical activity. A science of drug discovery would permit rigorous answers to important questions.

Writing Manuals for the Masses : The Rise of the Literary Advice Industry from Quill to Keyboard
This collection of essays examines the literary advice industry since its emergence in Anglo-American literary culture in the mid-nineteenth century within the context of the professionalization of the literary field and the continued debate on creative writing as art and craft. Often dismissed as commercial and stereotypical by authors and specialists alike, literary advice has nonetheless remained a flourishing business, embodying the unquestioned values of a literary system, but also functioning as a sign of a literary system in transition. Exploring the rise of new online amateur writing cultures in the twenty-first century, this collection of essays considers how literary advice proliferates globally, leading to new forms and genres.

Womens Health in Clinical Practice : A Handbook for Primary Care
Traditionally, women’s health has been synonymous with obstetrics and gynecology. With the exception of Family Medicine physicians who are trained in obstetric and gynecologic issues, most primary care physicians have received little training in reproductive health issues even though they care for women and girls. In recent years, there has been growing recognition that sex differences do exist between the organ systems of women and men, and research about male and female physiologic differences has bolstered the growing body of knowledge about sex differences. Women’s Health: A Handbook for Primary Care presents the most recent changes in current research and provides the reader with an easily accessible reference to common women’s health issues. The topics in this text range from health problems that largely affect only women, like cervical cancer and breast disease, to health problems that present differently in women than in men, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
