Cancerimmunotherapies : Solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
Presents the clinical scope of cancer immunotherapeutic agents for solid tumors and Hematologic malignancies, elaborates on the scientific details of their modes of action, and presents the impact of these agents on oncology, patients and the broader healthcare system. At present, cancer immunotherapies fall broadly into three categories: immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), adoptive T cell therapies, and cancer vaccines which have distinct mechanisms of action. Immune checkpoint inhibitors rely upon disrupting tumor antigen recognition as self by the immune system through inhibition of checkpoint molecules. Adoptive T cell therapies involve the engineering of T cells ex vivo to target and destroy tumor cells. The first part of this book will provide an overview of the discovery and mechanistic details of the technology. In this dissertation, the concept of cellular and immunotherapy of cancer will be discussed briefly, taking into considerations the mechanisms of action, the advantages, challenges and drawbacks of the different types of monoclonal antibodies and CAR T-Cell therapy.

Durant les deux premières journées, toutes les étapes importantes de la prise en charge des cancers du sein ont été déclinées. L’analyse du risque de voir survenir un cancer du sein a été explorée dans sa diversité suivie par les résultats du dépistage organisé et les problèmes du diagnostic. Les traitements locorégionaux ont précédé les traitements adjuvants sans oublier les patientes dont la tumeur présentait une hyperexpression de HER2. Une session a été consacrée aux cancers métastatiques et une autre aux personnes âgées. Comme à chaque cours, nous nous sommes penchés sur l’avenir en dissertant sur la classification moléculaire et sur le passé avec la très belle conférence du Pr David Khayat sur le bilan du Plan Cancer.

Building with water : Concepts typology design
It presents buildings that explicitly refer to water in their design and form. It establishes a typology of building by the water: residential structures, recreation facilities, industry and infrastructure, buildings for culture and art. The various design parameters are explored in four essays. Subsequently, twenty-two international projects are presented, organized according to their locations by a river, a lake or the sea. The authors’ concern is not to show luxurious buildings in privileged locations but rather presenting projects that seriously grapple with the main criterion of the location—namely, water—in an ecologically sustainable way and respond to it with their design.

The project aims to build an automated exam for various exams, fields and institutions, and we have adopted in our project the National Exam for Informatics Engineering. The system builds an automatic exam that facilitates the conduct of exams and their correction automatically. The flutter application was developed to provide a user interface for students and a web page to control the system for teachers and Admins. Laravel will be used as the application programming interface (API) to manage the data and functions of the system. The system builds an automated exam for various specializations to make it easier for students to test their information and their readiness to take the official exam.

Broadband Opto-Electrical Receivers in Standard CMOS starts from the basic fundamentals, necessary for the design of opto-electronic interface circuits. The book continues with an in-depth analysis of the photodiode, transimpedance amplifier (TIA) and limiting amplifier (LA). To thoroughly understand the light detection mechanisms in silicon, first a one-dimensional and second a two-dimensional model is developed. Analytical design equations are derived to guide the design of the amplifying circuits. For the TIA, the focus lies on the sensitivity-speed trade-off. For the LA, a high gain-bandwidth is pursued. Several practical design examples reveal the subtleties and challenges encountered during the design of high-performance analog circuits.
