Alqadam Train Station

Aims to focuses on the redesign of the Southern Train Station of Damascus, located in the Al-Qadam area. The proposal aims to preserve the historical identity of the existing station while expanding it to meet the needs of modern urban mobility. The design balances heritage conservation with contemporary architectural expression, creating a space that respects the cultural fabric of Damascus while addressing future growth.Key elements include increasing station capacity, integrating sustainable design strategies, and enhancing passenger flow. Renewable energy use, passive ventilation, and green spaces are central to reducing environmental impact and improving user comfort.

Algèbre, Chapitres 1 à 3 = Algebra, Chapters 1 to 3

To do algebra is essentially to calculate, that is to say to perform, on elements of a set, (<algebraic operations n, the best-known example of which is provided by the (<four rules)) of elementary arithmetic. This is not the place to retrace the slow process of progressive abstraction by which the notion of algebraic operation, initially restricted to natural integers and to measurable quantities, gradually widened its field, as it grew. at the same time generalized the notion of ((number O, until, going beyond the latter, it came to apply to elements which no longer had any character ((numeric)>, for example to permutations of a - seems (see Historical Note in chap. 1).

Algebraic Cobordism

Algebraic Cobordism: is a theory satisfies the analogues of Quillen's theorems: the cobordism of the base field is the Lazard ring and the cobordism of a smooth variety is generated over the Lazard ring by the elements of positive degrees.

Advertising in contemporary consumer culture

This is the first scholarly book dedicated to reading the work of contemporary filmmakers and their impact on modern marketing and advertising. Drawing from consumer culture theory, film and media studies, the author presents an expansive analysis of a range of renowned filmmakers who have successfully applied their aesthetic and narrative vision to commercial advertising. It challenges some traditional advertising tropes and sheds light on the changing nature of advertising in the contemporary media context. Utilising Deleuze and Guattari’s notion of assemblage, This book addresses themes of spatiality and time, narrative and aesthetics and consumer reception within a new frame of reference that re-contextualises classical concepts of genre, platform and aesthetic categories. These diverse elements are embedded into a larger discussion of the resonance of contemporary advertising for consumer culture and the implications of the hybridity characteristic of convergent media platforms for understanding the potential of advertising in the twenty-first century.

Advances in XML information retrieval and Evaluation ; 4th International workshop of the initiative for the evaluation of XML retrieval, INEX 2005, Dagstuhl Castle, Germany, November 28-30, 2005. Revised and Selected Papers

Content-oriented XML retrieval has been receiving increasing interest due to the widespread use of eXtensible Markup Language (XML), which is becoming a standard document format on the Web, in digital libraries, and publishing. By exploiting the enriched source of syntactic and semantic information that XML markup provides, XML information retrieval (IR) systems aim to implement a more focused retrieval strategy and return document components, so-called XML elements – instead of complete documents – in response to a user query. This focused retrieval approach is of particular bene?t for collections containing long documents or documents covering a wide variety of topics (e.g., books, user manuals, legal documents, etc.), where users’ e?ort to locate relevant content can be reduced by directing them to the most relevant parts of the documents.
