Remote antenna laboratory measurements and control for E-learning using LabVIEW
Our project aims to design and implement a remote control system for the ED-3200 antenna laboratory, which performs experiments and measurements in the laboratory on different types of antennas, using several frequencies, in order to know the antenna pecifications and draw its radiation pattern. These lab experiments were performed remotely using LabVIEW software development environment, web and internet technologies. The same techniques and tools can be applied to conduct lab experiments and measurements remotely in different specializations (medicine, engineering and industry).

Since the first discovery of the reelin mutant mouse in 1951 by Falconer, and later discovery of the gene for reelin in 1995, there has been an explosion of new knowledge about this important molecule. Rebuilding Anatolia after the Mongol Conquest : Islamic architecture in the lands of Rūm, 1240-1330
A study of Islamic architecture in Anatolia following the Mongol conquest in 1243. Complex shifts in rule, movements of population, and cultural transformations took place that affected architecture on multiple levels. Beginning with the Mongol conquest of Anatolia, and ending with the demise of the Ilkhanid Empire, centered in Iran, in the 1330s, this book considers how the integration of Anatolia into the Mongol world system transformed architecture and patronage in the region. Traditionally, this period has been studied within the larger narrative of a progression from Seljuk to Ottoman rule and architecture, in a historiography that privileges Turkish national identity. Once Anatolia is studied within the framework of the Mongol Empire, however, the region no longer appears as an isolated case; rather it is integrated into a broader context beyond the modern borders of Turkey, Iran, and the Caucasus republics. The monuments built during this period served a number of purposes: mosques were places of prayer and congregation, madrasas were used to teach Islamic law and theology, and caravanserais secured trade routes for merchants and travelers.

Many large corporations delegate investment decision-making authority to their divisions. Because they are better informed, divisional managers should be able to make better decisions than corporate headquarters. However, they can use this informational advantage to pursue their own interests. The objective of this work is to analyze the problem of delegated decision-making within firms when investment projects are characterized by the possibility to make subsequent decisions after the initial investment decision has been made. By analyzing this question, the monograph combines and unifies two important lines of literature: on the one hand the literature on controlling investment decisions, on the other hand the investment valuation literature.
Reactive Flow, Diffusion and Transport ; From Experiments via Mathematical Modeling to Numerical Simulation and Optimization
The articles in this volume summarize the research results obtained in the former SFB 359 "Reactive Flow, Diffusion and Transport" which has been supported by the DFG over the period 1993-2004. The main subjects are physical-chemical processes sharing the difficulty of interacting diffusion, transport and reaction which cannot be considered separately. Typical examples are the chemical processes in flow reactors and in the catalytic combustion at surfaces. Further examples are models of star formation including diffusive mass transport, energy radiation and dust formation and the polluting transport in soil and waters. For these complex processes mathematical models are established and numerically simulated.
Raman and SERS Investigations of Pharmaceuticals
