The objective of this book is to present a little known or even new method based on the concept of relative rearrangement which is the main subject of this book. To do this, we have developed properties of monotonic rearrangement, some of which are not found in any other work than in this book (except in reviews) such as Polyà-Szego inequalities or C_alpha-rearrangements. We study the regularity of the derivative of the monotonic rearrangement as well as the continuity of this derivative map.
