AIU Participates in 'Big Brother Initiative

Based on AIU social responsibility towards various community groups, "Big Brother" initiative held the "Open Day for Children'' event on Friday, 26.08.2016 in cooperation with the Training and Development Department at AIU. The event included workshops and a variety of scientific and recreational activities, mathematics, physics and science. The event was attended by 28 children of different ages in Al-Hadhara International Center over three hours and was marked by a high atmosphere of interaction and amusement.

The "Big Brother Initiative" is a voluntary educational initiative geared towards children in basic education and preparatory stage for the development of thier perceptions in these stages in preparation for their smooth move to secondary and undergraduate study.

The initiative is performed by a component of volunteering university students from several different disciplines who gathered to give part of their time and effort to deliver knowledge and information for children who are in need of support in basic subjects such as math / science / physics / chemistry / and languages through remedial courses in addition  to edutainment events to sweeten and put students back in the academic atmosphere and keep up with the level and grade that they arrived to academically and to achieve future ambitions.

The Initiatve was ranked second in ideas marathon and development projects, which was held under the dome of the University of Damascus at the end of 2015 and has participated in many exhibitions and competitions
