AIU Field Trip to Old Damascus- Building Construction I

In collaboration with  the National Union of Syrian Students branch, the Faculty of Architecture in the Arab International University  organized a field trip for  students of building construction I to  old Damascus area where they visited a number of historical places (the house of Abed - AlJouzeh Bathroom  - Khan As'ad Pasha - Mosque Tabrizi).  The trip explained and discussed the methods of  old construction and how to conduct  restoration of old buildings and the probability of strengthening them. Students were able to benefit from the process and link the theoretical information given in college with practice. The trip was supervised by eng. Nidal Samman and eng. Sa'ab with members of the governing body of the college.
