We remind the university students of the academic warnings applied at the university as follows
Article 21:
- After submitting the academic results at the end of each semester, the university starts sending warnings from the semester following the semester in which the student was enrolled (the summer semester not included). Students whose GPA is less than 2 points in either of the first and second semesters shall receive such warnings.
- When the student receives a warning, he must cancel it by raising his GPA to two or more points, within a maximum period of two semesters from the date of the warning.
- The student shall be dismissed from the specialization after the end of the period stipulated in paragraph (b) of this Article, except for the student who completed successfully (99 credit hours) according to his study plan, provided that his GPA is not less than 1.75 points or its equivalent in percentage. If his GPA falls below that in any subsequent semester, that dismisses him from specialization without warning.
Article 22: A student who has been dismissed from the study may be accepted in the special remedial study due to the low GPA below two points according to the following provisions:
- If his / her GPA is not less than 1.5 points or the equivalent in percentage, four semesters shall be given to raise the average to the acceptable minimum to return to regular study. If he fails, he shall not be permitted to continue the special study unless he has completed a total of 99 credit hours stipulated in the study plan and his GPA is not less than (1.75 points) or the equivalent in percentage. In this case, a maximum of two semesters is given after which he shall be dismissed if he can not raise his average to two points.
- If the student average is between 1 - 1.49 points or the equivalent in percentage, one semester is given to raise this rate to 1.5 points or the equivalent in percentage. If this is achieved, three additional semesters are given to raise the average to the acceptable minimum.
- If he fails to raise it, he can not continue his special study unless he had already completed (99 credit hours) in his study plan and his GPA is not less than (1.75 points) or the equivalent in percentage. In this case, two semesters shall be given in maximum, after which he shall be dismissed if his GPA was not raised.
- The student who is accepted in the special study will lose his right to transfer to another specialization if he completes the four semesters granted to him in the special remedial study and he is unable to raise his GPA to the minimum required. The summer semester is not considered a semester for this purpose.
The student's academic load in the special study is 15 (credit hours) for both the first and second semesters and six (6) credit hours for the summer semester.
Article 23:
- The student who earns less than one point or the equivalent in percentage in any semester of the year after the first semester of joining the university except for the summer semester shall be dismissed from the specialization. If the student obtains less than one point or the equivalent in percentage in the GPA in any subsequent semester, he will be dismissed from the University.
- A student who has been dismissed from a specialization in another discipline may not be accepted more than once during the period of his studies at the University. In all cases, the Director of Admissions and Registration shall notify the student or dismiss him duly
- The decision of warning or dismissal shall inform the student through his academic advisor or in the manner deemed appropriate by the university.
- A student who has been academically dismissed from any specialty may not be re-admitted in it again.
Article 24: Subject to the provisions of Article (15) of this Law, if the student in a semester has an incomplete assessment (I = Incomplete) and was dismissed from specialization or from the university due to lower GPA, the following shall apply:
- The student is not allowed to continue to study in the next semester only after the completion of marks and was able to raise GPA to the minimum required.
- The student shall be dismissed if the GPA is not raised to the required minimum after the completion of the marks of that semester.
Article 25: A student shall be dismissed from the university or specialization if the maximum period of study allowed exceeds the allowed maximum period of study.
Please see and work to avoid academic warnings for the interest of students future and study.
