Eng. Lila Al-Masri

Faculty member at the Faculty of Architectural Engineering - Arab International University

An architect with over four decades of professional experience in the fields of architectural design, planning, engineering supervision, and consultancy studies. She holds a degree in Architectural Engineering from Damascus University and is proficient in using engineering design software such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, and 3DMAX.

She has academic experience in teaching architectural design to students at the Faculty of Architectural Engineering at Damascus University and currently serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Architectural Engineering at the Arab International University. She has supervised diverse projects for advanced-year students.

She began her professional career at the Military Housing Institution, where she held the position of Head of the Planning Department in the Seventh Branch, contributing to the implementation and supervision of multiple educational and administrative projects in Damascus and its countryside. She also worked in Saudi Arabia in the field of interior and exterior design between 1980 and 1983.

Later, she established her own engineering office at the Engineers Syndicate in the Damascus countryside before launching her consultancy firm, "Al-Sham Group for Engineering Consultations," where she headed the architectural department. Through this firm, she delivered dozens of studies and designs for governmental, service, educational, healthcare, and residential buildings, in addition to engineering auditing projects for both public and private entities.

Alongside her professional work, she held several syndicate positions, including membership in the council of the Architectural Association branch in Syria, membership in the Architectural Committee at the Engineers Syndicate in the Damascus countryside, and participation in the evaluation of expert engineers. She also took part in Arab and international engineering conferences and seminars and contributed to architectural exhibitions at the Al-Assad Library.
